I won't judge you SkateBoy. can't promise mnot to mock you cause I mock everyone. but I mean even if you try to convert me, well, you can try. anyhow I live nowhere near any JW's that I can tell. I am surrounded by Mormons. all those 'elders' in groups of 2 trying to convert me. and Toronto has the 'church of scientology' I kind of like krishna's bald heads, cool orange robes. they don't partake of caffine though, don't think I couls stand giving up soft drinks. I am still saddened by the fact that coke a cola hires rabbi's to bless and make kosher cola before it leaves the factory. I don't think that's right at all. they make a product that rots teeth and adds fat and subtracts days from your life, and they are not worried about that, but turning holy cola into house hold wine is worth spending time on. anyhow Skateboy religiopn like politics make for heated disscussions, so don't judge and to avoid that don't post about religion. now one on forum needs to know your religious, political or sexual preferences. there is enough ...stuff out there to cyber chat about. a religious forum is a good place for theology. lucas is about X Box and other gaming\computer technology. P.S. i agree that Jws are humans, though not without the common delusions of gradure. To SkinWalker True enough, ethnocentrism is far more common than people wish to acknowledge, however, the difference between you and I (I suspect) is that I understand that I'm likely to evaluate another culture based upon my own. In so doing, I acknowledge that the only thing that makes my culture more valid is the fact that I like it. Therefore all cultures become equally valid to me, even if I don't agree with the other culture. In that sense, they are also equally invalid. It's not PC... it's enlightenment. Claiming that you accept all things is based in political correctness, the fear of imposing your culture on another, and true enlightenment, if it exist in any form, can only come from the Bible unaltered, unlike both the versions the Mormons and JWs have. On another note, ones culture cannot both be valid and invalid at the same time, as you have proposed. All cultures are not equal, consider any other beside the primitive tribes the live in South America, yet all still cling is some fashion to the absolute truths, such as murder is wrong, that they originaly started with at the begining of time. I just dont have too much respect for religions that try to convert me. Its fine if they talk to me once or twice, but If I say no, and they keep coming back, I would definately get mad. Ok back to the story, a jehova witness went into the nursing facility and started talking to the residents about his beliefs and tried to bring them to his side. The pastor of the episcobal church on the island i live on saw this and asked the guy to leave. He wouldnt and started talking to more residents finally he got so mad he hit the guy in the neck and called security and the guy was fined. Also my neighbor who lives about a block away(well not really neighbor) is a jehova witness. Once one came and he started talking about stuff then I pretended to call 911.
