I'm back... with ISDN!

Excellent! :D Welcome to the world of 'not having to wait two days for a download, and praying that you don't get disconnected in that time too'.

I've been on Broadband for about six weeks now, and I can't be without it. Like the pseudo-snob I am, I knew couldn't go back to 56k withing 15 minutes of getting my BB modem connected.

(I'm not slagging off any of you still on 56k, I know a lot of people simply don't have the option - for many reasons - to go faster, I was one of them. All I'm saying is you don't know what you're missing. And if you do know what you're missing, I'm feeling your pain)

And I see you've resurrected the flame war Sam... I'll be right there...

Welcome...................... To The Real World

Another one to join the BB gang, I'm on Cable here in Australia, and could never go back. Now that I own the cable modem that I have, I can move wherever and not have to pay for that part of it, and just get the service.

I feel the need, the need for speed!

I too have ISDN - actually it is not broadband, by quite a long way, but still, it's a hell of a lot faster than 56k ;)

It's the fastest thing you can get in my area - you can thank BT for making this biggest ever **** up in introducing BB to the UK :/

Anyway, what kind of download speeds do you get at 128k Sam? Also, what ISP are you using? ISDN users get a pretty pants deal compared to broadband users. It's difficult to find a nice compromise between price and amount of hours allowed per month.

I use Fast24, just in case you are interested :)

My ISP is DDC, and my d/l speed is usually around 15kb a sec.

I'm afraid to ask what did you get on your 56k..

Because that still is much lower than broadband(90kbps)
