lovelamers
why do you think didnt vader find yoda ?
Writer
Maybe he was too busy doing other stuff. Remember, he didn't find Obi-Wan either. Obi found him.
ZBomber
*shrugs* Yoda probably did something with the Force to blind Vader.... Who knows. Maybe he did know where he was. Yoda would kick Vader's ass if Vader tried to kill yoda.
Thrackan Solo
Vader knew Yoda would kick his arse! even a high Yoda could kill "little Ani":)
Antilles_CL
Actaully, the most supported reason was that a powerful dark jedi (forgot his name) died on Dagobah near a huge tree. And the tree absoarbed (or sumthing like that) the dark force, thus the dark force outweighed the light force that Yoda gave off and Vader never sensed him. zERoCooL2479
I heard a theory about the whole "cave" thing on Dagobah masked Yoda's presence. What do you guys think?

Tesla
Right time to settle this, Yoda previous to the events of EP1 had been on a mission to dagobah and had battled a sith and in killing the sith a dark side prescene remained so when the empire came to power yoda knowing that the emperor or his minions like vader would not be able to feel his light side presence due to the dark side evil which was still present on dagobah, that's pretty much what i have learned from the Star Wars Offical Website

"Impossible, the Sith have been extinct for a millennium.", remember? Ki-Adi-Mundi said that. So Yoda can't have battled any sith before Dooku in his lifetime! Tesla
Well that's what it says on the website, and it probarly was a sith who had been in hiding or something who knows????
Thrackan Solo
Ah...I remeber hearing that. That is were Luke went into the cave. the Cave is were yoda killed the dark jedi. (I think it was a dark jedi) not sith

Well, Yoda would've known if he had killed a Sith, right? When the movies and the website comes with different information, you just have to trust the movies. Ah...I remeber hearing that. That is were Luke went into the cave. the Cave is were yoda killed the dark jedi. (I think it was a dark jedi) not sith That is certainly possible, of course. But dark jedi aren't mentioned in the movies, and are EU unless Lucas have confirmed that Yoda killed a dark jedi.
Tesla
Most EU isn't written by GL , but since yoda is 1 of the most curical characters he probalry wrote this.

Thrackan Solo
Well the dark jedi are just another form of the force either light or dark. . sith is almost like a club for Dark Jed or cult.

BigTeddyPaul
It is true. I don't remember if Yoda killed him but a battle between light and dark did take place where the dark dude died. That created a negative force spot just like the spot where Vader's Body was burned. In one of the books there is a whole explination of all this. I don't know what happened at Tatooine to make Obi hide but they did divulge Yoda's ability to hide especially since he was the top jedi master. RoguePhotonic
Yoda couldn't do anything if vadar did find him....yoda knows that he is supposed to bring balance to the force....that's why yoda never went after him anyway.....

BigTeddyPaul But as long as it isn't in the movies, it's still EU, and it can't be defined as true. Just as dark jedi are EU.
BigTeddyPaul
That is your opinion. Some people believe in only the cannon of Star Wars (moives only) and some people believe that EU is as relevant as the movies because overall GL had to approve it. Some people believe that the movies override all and the EU is only there to answer some questions but does not take priority because GL did not write it. munik
Tesla Trooper just gave a link to the starwars site, instead of the correct page. It does say it's EU, and it does say Dark Jedi, not Sith. So it's not canon, but that doesn't matter in this case because it doesn't conflict with the movie as some have stated.
