setsuko Posted June 15, 2003 Posted June 15, 2003 Ho, I promised to help a friend who's doing a psychology experiment as part of his university studies. So if you are bored and have a minute or two to spare, you can find it Here. Thank you.
swphreak Posted June 15, 2003 Posted June 15, 2003 I always have time for setsuko... and I have nothing else to do... <.< Hope I was helpful...
Jan Gaarni Posted June 15, 2003 Posted June 15, 2003 Yeah, I had a look at it, but I can't do it. Reason? Neither of the images gave me a spontanous "I like that one" feel. I would be selecting them on random, and that won't be right, will it?
Wouldzey Posted June 15, 2003 Posted June 15, 2003 That wasn't what i was expecting. There were only a few different images, they were repeated in different colours and sizes. Don't know if that was laziness of creator:D or the whole point of the experiment/survey
Jackrabbit Posted June 15, 2003 Posted June 15, 2003 I took it, but I don't know if I did it right =D. I hope your friend gets the results he's looking for.
Xx_Patman_xX Posted June 15, 2003 Posted June 15, 2003 Ahhhhh it says Set's real name in the credits! (at least i think it does). It always scares me when I find out your real names.
setsuko Posted June 15, 2003 Author Posted June 15, 2003 No, I'm not in the credits. I'm not a co-worker in their research, he's just a pal who I've met at the Cognitive Science institute, so I have promised him to spread the test. Sorry to dissappoint you after that feat of skullduggery! And no, there's no "right" way to do the test. Consider it a very simplistic Rorshach test. It has to do with subconscious reactions, and that's why you are supposed to do the test very quickly, without considering whether you answer 'right' or not. Together with the information of gender, age and location, it is possible to start looking at whether our subconscious works differently. And yes, if you did it 'randomly', you did it very well; thing is, what we think is random is never really random. When forced to do a very fast, appearantly 'random' choise, your subconscious kicks in. And that's what the survey is about, so don'tcha worry. You did fine. And well, no, Jackrabbit. Hopefully the results will not only be what he expected. If you only find out what you expect, scientific research would not only be dull, but also badly performed. It is when you disregard what you think is right, and try to find out what is right that you are truly researching. Oh, and thanks to everyone who did the survey. Hopefully, getting a more international view of it can be interesting.
True Neutral Posted June 16, 2003 Posted June 16, 2003 well i did it and now he's going to think that all australians are dumb... or maybe just me.
Sunshine Badass Posted June 16, 2003 Posted June 16, 2003 I am a failure at this test. It was too hard to pick them randomly, so I chose on which one looked like a more edible food substance. I should probably get something in my stomach... So hungry. :(
Goose_Of_Mercy Posted June 16, 2003 Posted June 16, 2003 Mmmmmm...Carrot Cake... Hope your psychology test goes well... try doing sociology studies...very entertaining...if i dont...stop..."..." soon im...gonna...kill...my...sel...f...!...!...! ~SK~
Deft Aklin Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 *scratches head* Um...... *crosses arms* Um....Set? *scratches head again* Why does it say I failed?

Donnie Darko Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 I just took the test! It was a good one, I kept choosing the blues and reds and I was supprised to see the color blindness question at the end, I'M COLOR BLIND, so I thought it was interesting. I hope this helps your friend.
Sunshine Badass Posted June 19, 2003 Posted June 19, 2003 When will the results be E-mailed to me??? I am interested in seeing what the test was about.
