I got a couple questions...

 

1) Lando's Lady Luck in Nar_Shadda_Starpad level is made with brushes, right?

 

2) Does anyone know If anyone has made a descent Lady Luck model to put in a map?

 

If I could get the whole original brushed model that would be great but I dont think i can. All I need really is the outside of Lady Luck.. no interior. So if anyone has seen a Lady Luck model please let me know.

No, the Lady Luck is an md3, i'm pretty sure. I'm also pretty sure an md3 is used in LivingDeadJedi's Duel of the Fates map, in the big hangar (it's probably the mp3 from the game).

The Lady Luck indeed is an md3, and can be made solid by applying the Lady Luck clip prefab made by Raven. If you're only looking for the exterior there's not much you can do because the ship is open at the back.

@Eldritch: here, another thing I forgot to mention about using q3map2 to compile:

 

You can make any (yes, ANY) .md3 misc_model entity clip itself automatically by adding the key "spawnflags" and the value "2" to its entity window. As long as you compile with q3map2, that is. I don't think this feature is enabled in sof2map. So you can add whatever lady luck .md3 you find, and just give it the "spawnflags 2" key/value pair and everything is cool.

Where is this lady_luck ship located? I can find ladyluck_chairs.md3 and ladyluck_gun.md3 but no ship. If it is a md3 how come it has moving doors and why are it's textures in the narshaddaa texture sets?

And I'm quite sure it's an .md3.

 

It's textures are in the nar shaddaa set because even models need textures.

 

The moving doors were added later with brushes and is not part of the actual model.

The textures for md3s go in the models directory, that's why you don't see the tie-fighter, x-wing and other ships textures show up in Radiant. Please, for my sanity and others, where is this md3 located? Don't reply I'm sure it's an md3, look for it and if you find it tell us where it is.

It is made of brushes:o

 

Trust me i know i know someone who got the map file from ldj. He got it from the fine folks at raven so you have to contact him to get it. He will gladly give it to you though:D trust me.... unless he has sudenly changed from a few weeks ago:rolleyes:
