Anywayz, it's a nice site for a first try but the black on white thing kinda went out back in 1992... But if anyone else wants to advertise their site I guess this'll be the place. I'd like to see what people have come up with. lol @ "If your looking for porn, look someplace else"

Surfnshannon
Lynk do you like that Forum Board better than Vbulletin?
Lynk Former
Well yeah since it's free. It has all the normal stuff you would expect from a standard forum and a little more. It's easy to use and manage so yeah I like it over Vb... but Vb is a great message board nevertheless ^^
ZBomber
Lynk you already know I love your site. I still can't believe thats all Notepad..... Not a problem for you though, huh?
Lynk Former
whoever said anything about html in Invision Board? I never had to edit any coding in it. I'm familiar with both PHPBB and IPB and IPB was much easier to install, run and maintain then PHPBB

I thoguht it said Like Standard HTML or something...... EDIT - Customize the look of every page using standard HTML in the skinning system I guess you don't need to use HTML if your ok with the default look? Lynk Former
*shrugs* the Invision skinning system IS a little harder to develop than PHPbb that's true but the reason is so that all elements are set correctly to avoid any errors that skinning can produce. I notice on PHPbb that u can skin it two ways, if u're advanced u can go edit the template files yourself or u can do it the cheap way in the Admin CP... it's nice to do that but it's also bad if u make a mistake and screw it up lol and i've done that before XD... anywayz I also notice that Invision requires less files than PHPbb and is actually very efficient, most ppl don't even realise it because PHPbb came before Invision therefore more ppl know about PHPbb and the word goes around. ZBomber
I'm having trouble updating my website. I use Lycos to host, and it allows me to easily get all the files on there, by going into Frontpage, clicking publish, putting in the adress, my name and password. I gets like 85% done and says something about not haveing Frontpage Extensions on. I go to Lycos, and it says they are activated. I've tried this like 5 times, and the same thing keeps happening. Looks like I'm gonna have to upload it manually. LYNK - I found some of that in PhpBB too. I mgiht just go downlaod Invision Board just to look at it
