On a more relevant note, honestly that is the most ugly Monkey Island related poster I've ever seen

Historical footnote: in vintage 18th century English texts, the word "brass" was often used by writers when they really meant "bronze". But it wasn't spelled with six letters back then either. 😉

Why can't the poster instead be some form of the Tri Island Map in poster or cloth form?! Please!! And Udvarnoky, I know you're talking about me.

I'm taking impish delight in the frustrations from the EMI-hating contingent, though sleeping on CMI is an odd choice, and I'm guessing that of all the people in this world who wanted a resin Guybrush in their homes, exactly zero of them were hoping it would be in the image of one of his Special Edition designs.

I found active ebay auctions of some of these items, so I don’t have to start digging out my chaotically arranged items. It’s a selfmade paperback book of Dale Dassels brilliant FOA novelization. I had been following his project right from the start but always kept myself from reading it on a computer or tablet screen. And when he finally completed it, I used Laserschwerts poster and other box scans to create a cover resembling the classic box. For me that was a fitting way to finally read the novelization and it was a nice Christmas present for some of my childhood Lucasarts buddies. If you are interested I can upload some pictures of it later. But as I said, it’s not a real collector’s item.

I've made some comments on the twitter post as well, but I wanted to put here some as well. The Ultimate Insult poster -What a waste of a print. The Monkey Island navigation recipe would be far better received and enjoyed than this marker-scribbled poster of my least favorite of the games. Sure there was humor in that game but jeez, this may as well be the dunce cap. I guess we're lucky it's not the Abomination inventory item. What else could be made from EMI that I would care for, I don't know yet. The Guybrush statue - While nothing in particular is putting me off of it, it's still not exceptional. I would rather like a Curse version of a Murray skull, as others have also mentioned in tweets. The Shadowbox, the E Ticket, the disc, all lovely! I'm looking forward to the comprehensive-sounding book. And I'm not too bothered by the USB drive but it's slightly too easy and low effort. The black box to cover it all is disappointing.

Hello, I’ve been following Mojo for a looooong time now, but never felt the urge to participate in the forums. Recently I “finished” my classic Lucasfilm/Lucasarts Adventure collection and here are some pictures. But actually I only thought that it was finished. After kind of “missing” looking on ebay for LEC stuff I just bought a boxed copy of X Wing 🙂
