Yes...I get the 'link appears to be broken' thing. But I get that quite often. Though, I'm still having the problem today, which is out of the ordinary. And the same happens with Google's cached page when I try using the link to the 'current page'.

Yes the Navy really needs some urgent attention! We've got a couple of nice national hull colour scheme mods, that would greatly improve things - especially with the fixed Royal Navy Ensign. And I agree with you on the minor faction skins - it was quite a serious cop-out. Drummers especially.
Curiously, I was uncertain about getting any of the music mods - I may give them a closer look. I've mainly been using the aesthetic changes and unit additions mods so far - I'm terrified of making a mess of the game folders!

I am indeed Astor - it was worth the wait (and the upgrade
). It has been improved, of course, with a rather liberal dose of mods. And that DLC released by CA.
That wouldn't have been your good self I noticed over on TWCentre with a Hannover reskin, would it? The name 'Sir Astor' got me thinking!
Anyway, yes I have been enjoying Empire quite a bit. If CA continues to work at releasing patches and expansions - even unit additions - it should remain interesting for a while yet.
Oh, and congratulations on your ascendancy to modship, sir!

Perhaps I shall make an all-night effort to get it finished - maybe tomorrow as an act of celebration!
I've had a look at some of Cornwell's titles - they seem to be in quite abundant supply over here. Well, I have about sixty pounds worth of University bookshop tokens that have to be used, so I may stock up on Cornwell and O'Brian for the summer! And of course, I'll be starting Hornblower.

Good to hear from you, CommanderQ! I'm quite well - just gearing up for my examinations - have one tomorrow, in fact...
Hope you enjoy the Sean Bean series. I certainly did, though it seems a good deal more 'mature' than Hornblower, say. Perhaps it is due to its army setting, I don't know. But Bean plays the ranker raised to officer status brilliantly.
I'm yet to finish Master & Commander. University pressures sort of overtook my leisure reading for a time. However, it will be the first thing I pick up when I finish this accursed exam tomorrow! Only about a hundred pages to go, I think...
Anyway, how are things going for yourself?
