Nitro
It's official... Davis conceded to Ahhh-nold. Kiss California goodbye!
Gold leader
You never know. If Reagan won the cold war, perhaps Ahhh-nold will catch Osama. But I fear for the collateral damage.
Flying Beastie
I wonder how long it'll be before they run out of Terminator jokes.
Eva
OMG poor Calf. but I guess they had this coming since they voted for him. ''Calf. is terminated''those Terminator jokes really stink:mad:
Kylilin
I say its democracy at its best. The people of California were not happy with its leadership, so they voted for a new one. As for their choice of new leadership, let's see how he pans out.
Pedro The Hutt
And how many more scandals he'll appear in XD

Arnold was not my choice-- McClintock was-- but i think even Gary Coleman would have been better than Davis.
Rebel Loyaltist
I'm majorly pissed that Arnold won the recall. It's so ridiculous that he won, it's truely a sad reflection of the people who voted. Also I'll beg to differ that Reagan won the cold war. Admiral Odin
I have given up hope on Californa and thank god that I don't live there.
Gold leader
Before "they" do run out of Terminator jokes, I warn "them" that I will claim ownership of the Collateral Damage "joke". Eeeh, joke, I mean. Seriously though, I think that the problem with California is that they have too much democracy there. I read that most of the possibilities of raising taxes have been blocked by referenda. His hands tied this way, any governor is going to have a hard time making California financially healthy again. Governor Schwarzenegger even promised to lower taxes, I'm curious how that'll work out. But when it won't, there's always the recall option. Jem
Yeah, it sure was a TOTAL RECALL™ That joke is trademark to me. Don't you be using that joke, it's mine. Seems like the "Demolition Man" movie's prediction of Schwartzy being the future president of the US is starting to take action...
Zargon
whatever, as long as he has good advisors they will be fine, as far as this scandal bull**** goes, WHAT ****ING EVER DUDE, I would be a proud proud man if I was a freakin moviestar and weightlifter and the only dirt they could dig up was me fondling some boobies, anyone that pirates software is guitly of a higher crime than that. Look at other stars and what they have done, sheesh. The truly sad thing would have been if bustamante won, that whore was (and still sorta is) affiliated with a Hispanic hate group whose main purpose is to 'exterminate' the caucasians invading 'their part' of the country, ie calif. and the southwest. Admiral Odin
California problem is that they are to liberal. Look at their 9th circuit court of appeals (think that is what it is called). They are the most overturned court in the country (they one that said the pledge of allegiance was unconstitutional)

Pedro The Hutt
Pft, you know, when looking at it , you'd think that it was the script of a comedy movie with a political theme. Sad thing is this is reality >.> Poor poor California. Poor US for that matter.
Ikhnaton
as i said, we are no worse off than we were with Davis. Most of us are glad the ****er is gone
Redwing
Aye. I'm curious to see how this whole thing turns out. Hopefully well - after all, it's my state we're talking about here. Nitro: No.
Kylilin
The sad thing about this whole scenario is that it became a circus shideshow attraction. In theory though, I believe it is one of the best things thats happened to government in years. It should send a message to the rest of the government. GASP could be because they are jealous that no one gives a rats ass what their country says when the US is talking??? The worst thing about the Cold War being is over is that we let lesser countries with bigger problems mouth off about our troubles as if we were unable to feed our entire country... *insert various other pro-us garble and propaganda, and random anti-canadian jokes about maple syrup and bear* I think Germany is one of the only countries that can give us crap, excepot now neo-nazism is on the rise, and the black shirts are coming back in Italy!! Old school soviets still have the power in Russia, who can't keep their hands on chechnya, Iran is still Iran, palestine still hasn't learned. Atleast Guinea-Bissau showed for the first time in about 30 years that there can be a power change in Africa without a multi-year million dead civil-war. Eqypt is getting more and more militant by the day, liberia keeps making and breaking ceasefires with itself. Jem
I wouldn't say the US is the most advanced country. It's either Japan or South Korea. I'm guessing Japan. (By advance I'm guessing that you mean Technology...)
Nute Gunray
Originally posted by Jem I wouldn't say the US is the most advanced country. It really depends on how you look at it. I'd put Japan and the US in a deadlock. We, it would appear, tend to what would have been considered a supercomputer five years ago literally everywhere. We also lead the world in heavy machinery and application thereof. But Japan has more industrial robots and relies more heavily on nuclear reactors than the US. South Korea though? lol. PS: The US has a space program where as Japan lobbed a couple satellites up. Call me when they land on the moon.
