Does the new Matrix really suck as bad as I hear it does? *Spoilers(?)*

Let's see - let me re-title them, and give a synop:

Matrix 1: The Cool movie catpulted by stylized action violence and geek-tweeking stilted overly dramatic pseudo-intellectual philosopho-babble.

Matrix 2: Return of the philosopho-babbling stylized action scenes.

Matrix 3: The Ultimate "Grab it all in one weekend before everyone realizes hwo badly this sux" Edition

... revealed, my opinion is ...

;)

Definately See it. It's the kind of movie - you'll kick yourself for not seeing in the theater.

Its the type of movie that you will either Love or Hate. It has such a varied appeal to many types of audiences.

My only advice to you would be to see it - if not just for the attack on Zion alone.

I think everyone is in agreement that Niobe Scene and Zion was pretty cool.

You won't be able to just judge from everyone's opinions on whether to go see it or not because everyone has such varied opinions.

toms,

if they decide that the huorns and ents not arriving at the battle of Helms' Deep is a good option for the original theatre release for TTT, then expect the movie to not include Saruman's bit at the end of this movie.

I almost expect that one as a scene for the Extended DVD version. Some of the things from the book don't make sense to those that have not read them when they see the movie.

its not the bit at the end that isn't going to be in (we have known that the scouring of the shire wouldn't be in for years... i can see the valid reasons for this as far as a film goes). But the film was going to start with gandalf confronting Saruman and Grima in orthanc, gandalf and pippin getting the palantir and so on.

Unfortunately this has now all been cut (im SURE it will be in the extended edition, but everyone who doesn't get that is going to wonder what happened to saruman).

im just worried that they have left SO MUCH stuff to be in ROTK (shelob, haven't explained light of galadriel, etc..) that there isn't going to be room for it all.

i could have told you that they would do that when the first one came out.

gd i swear if they come out with a trilogy preceding these three movies like Lucas is doing, I'll make both of the Wachowski brothers sit on a tack for a year for each movie they made.... ratbastards.

Isn't that going a little to far that was very unnecessary of you to say! Your lucky you don't get banned.

I just saw it yesterday. In parts it was better than I thought it'd be judging from the little peoples reviews.

Although... people were raving about Smith being the best bad guy ever, but in Revolutions he was a bit of an ass to be honest. Although I like the way he seemed confused as to the behaviour of humans, like in the original.

The attack on Zion was amazing. It created a ton of tension that almost had me off my chair. I think the tension was what the second film was missing. With the exception of two fight scenes (Morpheus vs Agent, and Trinity vs Agent) there was no tension in the fights at all. The captain in the Zion scene is one of my favorite of the newer characters;

The Kid: But I haven't completed the training programs!

The Captain: Neither did I

That bit was cool.... Oh and did anyone else notice how The Kid kinda looked like Neo in the first movie. Not exacly... or at all really, just when he's standing infront of the people of Zion.

Is Neo really dead? there isn't actually any evidence in the film to show that he is. There's more evidence of the fact that he'll return.

Girl: Will we see Neo again?

The Oracle: I expect we will someday

I HAVE to check out this new MMORPG game, because it sounds cool. More like the original film. Just a normal person learning the truth of the matrix.

In conclusion. This film was alot better than I thought it would be. If you haven't seen it already... Check it out now.

The only downside I thought

The Super Brawl. The outside fights were rubbish. I preffered the inside part, reminded me of the train station in the first film. And WHAT! was that punch at the end of the fight? Where Smiths face turned to jelly and wibbled about...? In the next shot he was perfectly ok.... seemed a little unnecessary. If they wanted to convey how much force was in the punch, they could have shown some Blood or something from Smith. It woulda confused him. He's a program... never bled before, because he was too strong for that kind of damage. That's what the one who took control of Bane was talking about. How weak the human body was, how easy it was to damage.

There is less there than you think, for those who aren't reading spoilers. It was more of my alternate ideas than critisisms.
