Wierd Dream.

I agree, I've always thought about dream realities

I had a funny little dream, I was in 2nd grade, in the class, and I had to go to the bathroom, whats weird is, I would go to the bathroom, pee, and go back and after 5 minutes ask the teacher if i could go again. This happenned 2 or 3 more times, and my teacher got mad! then i woke up, and found out i really had to pee and so i ran to the real bathroom.

Mystic: I think daydreaming about ambitions is also possible. I want to be a pro basketball player, but I've never had dreams, just some imaginations of me running down a court hitting shot after shot and daydreaming too.. Also, my friend had a dream he was jumping, and he woke up 2 feet above the bed.

Another rumor I've heard is that if you dream you are falling off a cliff, and you actually land at the bottom, you die. You know how sometimes you have dreams of you falling off something and then you wake up? Maybe thats a signal from your body preventing your death? I love dreams man, their trippy :) and bring about a whole new logic to what I dream

One question however: I feel like I have a power... a lot of times when I dream I cant see or feel this dream occuring... but then a couple weeks later, what happens in my dream, actually comes true, and I'm like whoa deja vu... the odd part is that its something once in a lifetime, but something really common, like how nothing is in the exact same place twice but I recognize it, usually from what someone says, it just triggers something in my brain:confused:

i've been tryin to post this for a while but the forum was slow then down so here it goes this time.

to control your dream reality. try to think about NOTHING before you go to sleep. your brain automatically dreams about the last thing you thought of.

if you can keep your mind cleansed and once you fall asleep, do your best to start in a empty dark void. Once you do that then try to see what buildings you want in your surroundings. and so on. this will take some time, but i have gotten to the point to where i do not let myself dream now. too many things go wrong when you can control em. you have to control every lil thing and if you can't it goes haywire.

and also if you die in your dream no matter how it is YOU DO NOT DIE in the real world. what happens is your brain shuts down so actually you'll be in a Coma for a very long time.

and your body jerking in a falling scenario is indeed tryin to wake you up.

I hate those falling ones.

Controlling the dreams sounds kinda cool, but hard.

What I hate is that every week or so I fall asleep adnd wake up with a jerk of my foot and body, and it feels like I slipped. I can never remember dreaming things though

And Mike. I have the exact same thing. I will see something in my dream that will come true. It may be the next day, it may be the next 4 months, but it happens. And you can't explain them. It's just like, you remember all of a sudden. Like your mind tosses it into your long term memory banks, but sort of as a hidden file, so to speak.

When I was little I used to have the same dream over and over.

I was a cowboy and I went into a bar And order a 'shoot out'

Yadda yadda yadda.............as soon as we get to the "Draw" It starts again.

I had this same stuff for about a month.................it was very boring

Yea Mystic (sorry, but I just read this thread haha) I can see what you're saying about REM injuries and feelings happening in real life. I have dreams every once in a while where I wake up crying because something bad has happened just before in my dream.

But is it true that if you die in your dream that you die in real life? (Quite impossible to prove however haha) Because everytime I'm put into a position of dying, I always wake up right before I die.

That's when I woke up, and saw this mark across my stomach, exactly where I cut myself in my dream.

... Freddy's coming for you! :evil1:

Well it's also possible that you were acting out some of those dream things [while asleep], which can happen, so maybe you cut yourself or something while doing that.

Oh yeah Kain, anyone would want to have you as a friend!:p

Probably a better thing I keep my list of friends down to a minimum. Very hard, becoming my friend. Very hard for me to forget a friend too. Or an enemy for that matter.

Current people on Kain's Actual Friend List: 3

But its always being said that if you have atleast one good friend, you're doing alright. I've got 3. HA!(cept that I hang out with about 20 people who I just consider aquantinces)

That usually means you were close to finishing the dream. You actually dream ALOT while sleeping, most of which you forget because they finish before you wake up. Its the ones that don't finish that you can remember, and the more vivid the dream, the more waits to be revealed...

I had the carrot dream again, It's where I dream that I'm just a carrot planted in the ground, I'm not any special carrot, just a regular carrot like you find at the store. But instead of it just being me planted in the ground like normal, a rabbit came along and started gnawing at me, and I woke up with a headache.

It was one of those floating dreams where you'd dream you were falling through the air, then when you were just about to hit rock bottom, you wake up and feel as if you just got ran over.

I hate those! I wake up breathing hard and my stomach feeling weird.

I have really weird dreams sometimes, usually off the wall things that are a combination of real world things and a bit of fakeness.

I do love that I can fly for no apparent reason in my dreams! But sometimes I can just lift off, while other times I have to take a running start, but I control well! :p

The dreams where you know that you're dreaming and can manipulate the environment is called 'Lucid Dreams'.

I've had two lucid dreams (in the same night) about the same thing.

It was on our vacation in India, I was sleeping in my room.

In the first dream, I'm sitting in from of my computer at the desk in my room. I realize that it is a dream, cause I'm in India (I have to force the brain to believe it though). So I look around and I'm chocked by the reality. Everything looks as in real life.

Okay, let's try flying...

As soon as I come a few feet from the seat of my chair, my brain starts to oppose itself to my commands ("FLY DAMMIT!" "Ummm... no, you're human, moron", and I wake up.

The next dream is much quicker, it's the same scene and I'm immediately aware of the dreamscape, so I try to fly again and the same odd feeling makes me wake up.

one thing that can help to 'activate' your mind when dreaming is to start with 'reality checks'.

In dreams, letters and numbers... even pictures... often change.

Start carrying a pice of paper, or a digital watch, around (irl).

Regulary read what it says on the paper or the watch.

The read it again. If it doesn't change, read it again, etc a few times.

Okay, if it doesn't change, imagine what you would to in a dream, how it would look, who would be there... Then start to 'manipulate' this 'imaginary dream'.

This is to make your brain get something that it's supposed to do in the dreams... frequently. If it doesn't do it, it breakes a strong habit (wich might activate your control) , if it does it, you will definitely become aware.

About Deja Vu, it is possible for your mind to think that it remembers someting.

You are saying that you never remember your dreams, then you shouldn't be able to tell that you're having a Deja Vu ;) .
