SpaceButler14 Posted February 2, 2004 Posted February 2, 2004 I remember someone said that it was possible to get them to reconcile in the confrontation but how much persuade do you need? I only have 5 pts in it and can usually bargain things with a couple of tries, but not this at all. Anyone have any ideas?
JediMeister Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 my roommate played on scout and bumped his persuade up to something like 12-13 from the beginning. I'm not sure whether this is the minimum but it seems like it given that when I played I had 10 persuade and still couldn't get them all to work it out.
Aiel Posted February 27, 2004 Posted February 27, 2004 They won't listen to me either lol... All I get is "The Jedi Council will hear about the trouble you caused here today!"...."Indeed they shall!"
lukeiamyourdad Posted February 28, 2004 Posted February 28, 2004 Yeah you can. You need a persuade skill of something like 15...
Taos Posted March 1, 2004 Posted March 1, 2004 It would be nice to resolve it, I just don't want to spend that many points on pursude. Though I have yet to have the council lecture me about it - all they say is "the kids are here for now, good work, blah blah."
narfblat Posted March 3, 2004 Posted March 3, 2004 I doubt you can get the adults to reconcile. The kids can have a happy ending though.

I haven't gotten there on my 4th time through, but on my first (LS Scoundrel/Consular) I did it, second (LS Soldier/Guardian) I got the kids happy but the parents didn't reconcile, third time (DS Soldier/Consular) well ... you can guess what happened. This time (I'll be a Scout / Sentinel) I'll try again. Mike
UndyingSamurai Posted March 4, 2004 Posted March 4, 2004 I reconciled both parents with my scoundrel. I had a lvl 17 Persuade. The two old men make up and decide to let the kids marry. They also decide to buy a house for their children. This is obviously the best (LS) outcome for this quest; you receive a couple of LS points upon completion.
lukeiamyourdad Posted March 4, 2004 Posted March 4, 2004 Some exp and light side points. I don't think you get any reward.
UndyingSamurai Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 no reward. just the satisfaction of knowing that you helped them solve this feud. and some LS points too!
kipperthefrog Posted March 26, 2004 Posted March 26, 2004 I thought the darkside solution to the metale and sandrall family affair was amusing! Spoiler when the parents start fighting you get to lie and say to the father "mr sandrall DID kill your son, mister metale!" and metale kills mr sandral's duagter for revenge! then mr sandral kills metale's son for counter revenge! then metale kills sandrall out of X-treme anger! then the droids start a war! mwa ha ha! if you dont love this then there is somehing wrong with your brain!
lukeiamyourdad Posted March 26, 2004 Posted March 26, 2004 Yes it was kinda funny. I especially the "KILL THEM! KILL THEM ALL!" part. I was laughing so hard...boy am I a sicko...
{Sith}-Guyver3 Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 i had nothing put into my persuade, and i was able to convince them both to work together, you do not need persuade, you just have to be tactful in how you communicate it
Poggle Posted April 3, 2004 Posted April 3, 2004 I managed it without persuade as well its abit like the juhani conversation where there is a speech path which doesnt require persuade however since unlike juhani you cant keep trying again so its a bit hit and miss Its was easier to just kill the fools HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *ahem*
dark jedi 8 Posted April 3, 2004 Posted April 3, 2004 yes, and more fun! i never got the extreme LS one where the partents make up and buy a house but i think you still get LS points for making the kids happy.
