Doomie
I can't believe my eyes! In google, when you search for images, the first thing you see when you type in 'starwars':PORN! when you type in 'leia', first thing you see: PORN! People who make these pictures should be banned to the moon, they don't realize children also like starwars and may search it up on the internet, or maybe that there are people who DON"T LIKE WHEN THEIR FAVORITE MOVIE GET"S INSULTED THAT WAY! And i can imagine GL wouldn't be too happy about it either. There, that's been said. If you're also angry at those guys who make starwars porn, or if you are a pervert and want to defend them, post here. Anyway, i just wanted to express my anger to you. Crazy_dog no.3
I just checked it out. (OK the wrong kind of phrase but you know what I mean ) It's more with "Leia" than with "starwars" but still. Also if you type in "casper" (as in the friendly ghost), after a few pages you also come up with porn, but who's going to do a search for Casper?! Doomie
Yes, i know, it's more with leia, but the fact that it's the first thing you see is what bothers me so! And it's also when you do 'padme', but that's luckily not at the beginning. Anyway, it's good that there are at least 27 pages with pictures and only a few contain porn. (now we only have to ship a few people to the moon ) But seriously, Starwars porn! it makes me so mad! If they want to make porn, they can do it, but now they've insulted me! El Sitherino
People have different opinions on things, besides, If the computer is filtered, you can't see the porn, Plus google has a search filter, that filters out porn, perhaps you should use that, unless..... jon_hill987
well google as default has filters, most schools and colleges do, as should anyone who is letting their chilldren go on the internet unsuppervised (if they are bothered about it, it is after all up to them), I browse the intenet a fair amount, and I must say I havn't come across ((edit) maybe could have been better phrased) an exccesive amount of porn. But stormtroopers with D***** shaped blasters in that cartoon just made me laugh, but then I never got the whole cartoon porn thing. Oh and typing in starwars dosn't get you any porn, not in the first few pages anyway. you actualy have to be specific to get the cartoon I found. but yeah its sad. Doomie
But stormtroopers with D***** shaped blasters in that cartoon just made me laugh I don't even WANT to know what that is. Oh and typing in starwars dosn't get you any porn, not in the first few pages anyway. It does, right the very first picture! Atleast on my pc... Anyway, people who make that stuff should go trough their own creations. That would stop'em from making chewie *ahem* princess leia in the *ahem*, if you get what i mean. And it's even weirder that, when you type in 'starwars porn', there is only one picture, and it doesn't contain porn! (of course, this is all done purely for investigation matters and should not be confused with me being a horny old man. Wich i'm not.)
jon_hill987
well your computer must be perverted, I just got men fighting with coloured sticks, and a wallpaper of Endor depending if I put Starwars or star wars.
Tyrion
That chewie-leia picture makes me feel excited. Anyway..I don't like this. It's as bad as the guy who put up domains with address' of mispelled popular kid sites, and then filled them with porn. *goes back to search for "Casper"
jon_hill987
Oh dear, I just saw chewie-leia.gif, whoever made that needs to get out more, get some fresh air, and meet some women! seriously, its worse than all the cartoon porn from Japan.

Doomie
I don't see the big deal. Here's a thought. Don't like porn? Don't look at it. You don't get the point, do you? My point was: Children also like starwars and may conduct an internet search for it! People who do that stuff must think about the concequences of their actions! If kids see their favorite walking carpet giving it to their favorite Off-wotld princess, it could give them a trauma! And even if i don't look at it, i know it's there and i find that insulting! ShadowTemplar
It's tasteless, of that we can agree, but I really don't see why it's such a serious matter. After all, you get stupid gits in every size and shape.
SkinWalker
Which is why the computer for my kid is in the public part of the house (the living room).... I see what's going on there. Which, at two years old, is usually MS Paint or a Winnie the Pooh program that responds to mouseovers. But I will always have the 'puter in the living room for all to see what's going on there... If Chewie-Leia popped up I'd copy the domain name into my restricted sites in Zone Alarm and move on.... But one has to expect this type of thing on the internet and be ready to deal with it. From a parents point of view. I don't expect to keep my kids off the internet because I don't like some of the content. And I don't expect the internet to suddenly become "G" rated, either. I also don't expect my daughter to have complete run of the net without my wife and I checking in on her. But the Chewie-Leia pic! Ha! Han to Leia: "I said he could use a could kiss, not a...." Master_Keralys
Unfortunately, the porn is out there for almost any name you can search on - and you can't tell whether you're going to hit it until you do. While my parents have sometimes seemed over the top in their protectiveness with the Internet, I can understand when stuff like this happens. The biggest thing is, with younger kids, supervise. And if you're old enough that you honestly don't need supervision, then you'd better be expecting at least the possibility of it showing up. People, for all the government's (useless and wasted $ efforts) will still be putting porn on the Internet as long as we're alive... so you learn to skate around it, use the filters, etc.
toms
Have you got safesearch turned on I may be alone, but i have begun to notice a serious decline in the usefulness of google recently... almost any search i do brings up mainly porn, fake sites or those weird "amazon mirrors" that look like other sites but actually coontain info from amazon. I guess that (like altavista, yahoo, etc.. before it) people have now figured out ways to fool the google ranking system. It looks like they are either going to have to change their code a bit, or we are going to have to find a new search engine to be google's successor (until they figure that one out too.) Doomie
I just hope that wasn't really Carrie Fisher... Don't ask me why, i don't really know myself, but to me, it seems like betrayal if it was really her... Anyway, you guys are right, people probably cracked it, when i search it's also 75 % crap and 25% usable things...
Master_Keralys
Unfortunately, people always get around the code. Which makes them write new code. Which people get around... and so forth and so on. More, the general usability of any of those search engines declines as it ages, simply because the rest of the net is adapting... yeah, anyway, back on topic. Tasteless as it may be, I think that (unfortunately) there's no good solution to the porn problem short of just being a wary searcher. And like I said, parental observation in the case of kids. Even there, though, most adults are in over their heads in those sites, so... education about the internet should be mandatory, because even my parents frequently don't understand or misunderstand things. As far as SW connected with porn - it saddens me, but it doesn't surprise me in the least. If you look, you'll probably find plenty with Natalie Portman too (despite the fact that it's not actually her doing it...) People are perverted and will do that to anyone or anything. Doomie
There should be something we can do... I mean, with safe search you can avoid it, so it mustn't be too hard to create a way to look 'em all up in order to 'give them a warning'...
ZBomber
I think its funny...... not like ti shows anything, just suggests something. Screw kids, they'll find out what sex is eventually, anyways. WHy not add Star Wars in there and make it seem cool.

If parents are too lazy, drunk, stoned, busy beating the hell out of each other, busy cheating on each other, or otherwise inattentive to monitor what their children view on the internet, they deserve to have children that fantasize being sodomized by a wookie.
