Whoopknacker
Should they do an expansion pack on the extended universe, ie post Return of the Jedi era? New enemies like the Vong and planets too? Or will that just detract since not too many people are familiar with it?

StormHammer
AS jasperw said, if the game is popular, then it's highly likely there will be an expansion or bonus pack at some point. Personally, I'm not a fan of the Vong or the NJO in general - maybe the mod community could devise something along those lines. I wouldn't mind just seeing some extra maps, etc. Or perhaps a new game mode. Of course, this is academic until we've had a chance to actually play the game and see exactly what's on offer and how it plays.
Doomie
But, let's face it, if there will be an expansion pack (Chances are pretty high), it will be EU because all the battles from the movies are already in the original game. But on the other hand, there's so much EU that there's no telling what exactly they will make... Maybe they'll even make some new battles. Or maybe they'll just beef up the existing factions, like giving them all an extra class or something. Anyway, it's to far off to do anything more than just speculate... joesdomain
Keep expansion packs out of it. There would be no way to make one for Playstation 2 without making it a download through the internet. Not everyone who buys the game and plays it will have the internet adaptor or even internet access period. Not to mention a fast enough connection to download and/or play the game online. joesdomain
Lucasarts wants to make a profit. Why make a expansion pack that can only be downloaded through the web for PC, X-box, and PS2. They would lose money to make it free. Then they would have to charge money for a download and many people wouldn't pay for a download that may or may not work. Only PC would be available for a new game via CD. Unless PS2 and X-box has developed technology I don't know about.
Hiroki
Oh yes, the NJO isn't Star Wars, oh they killed Chewie, boo-freakin'-hoo. Cry me a river. Its EU, its Star Wars.

yaebginn
yes it is. Lucas has often said he reads and enjoys EU books. that includes NJO. And there's alot of books that dont deal with the Empire, not counting the prequels. The Yevethen Crisis books. The Adventures of Han Solo, The adventures of Lando calrissian, Truce at Bakura, The Corellian trilogy, some of the Young Jedi Knights books. There's a few more, but those are ust off the top of my head. oh, and lucas doesnt include them in his vision because he's not going to do a movie on them. Now he's focusing on prequels. It isnt crucial to his job, but he still reads them.
