Maybe an uber-master skinner like svosh could make a droid skin of of another model, but....

Well I had started a droid recruit mod package back at the beginning of october that went along with another mod I had started. When I finish my Recruit Darkkender mod completly I will finish the droids I could however use some good skins for HK, T3, and a some of the other droid types. One of the droids I plan to make recruitable will be the assasin droid hiding in the temple on korriban.

i have a request, i dont know if this is outrageously difficult or easy, since im terrible at 3d art. but i have designed some blasters and i was wondering if anyone would be interested in modelling them, the designs are fairly straitforward,(sp) and i think that they would look great in game. if your interested pm me and ill email the schematics to you

Apart form what ChAiNz pointed you at, there are quite a few mods around that add new playable characters. Look at pcgamemods.com. You can also use tk102's KSE to modify your party as you want (appearance, stats, equipment, class, etc)

Hi people :)

 

I have two questions. First, is there a KOTOR API? (Apidocs ;)) I'd like to start modding myself, and although kotortool (among others) are great programs to toddle around with, I still like to program/script from the 'scratch'.

 

Second, is there a mod that lets Juhani join you, but without redeeming her? So that she is still a darksider, I mean. Complete with story and others. It would take changing her lines and her choice to join you at the Rakatan temple at Unknown world. (Just changing her alignment is something even I can do ;)) And maybe even letting her meet her former master Quatra somewhere too..and.. *blabla, I'm asking too much.*

 

Can it be done? :)

As EnderWiggin already answered the second question, I'll take care of the first one: Kotor modding does not receive official support and no API docs have been released or will ever be released by Lucas Arts or Bioware/Obsidian. And even if modding was supported, I just can't imagine Lucas Arts releasing such docs for a Star Wars game.

 

If you were planning to do this, then making the mod you propose should be easy :) Simple dialogue editing and a few scripts (look at nwscript.nss for the functions) .

Hello,

I created a dll that you can use for manipulating GFF files, which make up almost half of the KotOR files. It's called gff_ctrl.dll and is available at http://www.pcgamemods.com/6 in the utilities section.
