[uPDATE] It seems to be true, afterall http://www.gamesmen.com.au/shop/indexnew.htm I initially had 2 copies pre ordered at EB but after reading about the stores here in Australia having the game late this week, I decided to call the Gamesmen. Battlefront was still in their delivery box as I rang. So I cancelled my reserved copies from EB (they were not that happy mind you) and went to the Gamesmen. It is definately worth the wait... Hermie
Originally posted by Navix_Ceraq they said the game would come out on september 21, than why is it out 16 september in Au? grr Because retailers are capitalists. They probably already have recived the game, but are told to wait until the 21st, and then thinks "hmm, if I bend the rules a little, and release it before anyone else, I would be the only one carrying it this early, hence I will make more money. hurrah!". I'm at work now so Id better write something about it. The game when you start it is exactly like the xbox version with the graphics/wireframe etc (as seen in the 20 min xbox movie). The gameplay involves 4 modes - instant action, historical campaign, galactic conquest and online. The instant action is as the name suggests - throw's you straight into it. The galactic conquest (i haven't played it yet) involves a war on all of the planets. There are 2 maps per planet and you must win at both of them to control the planet. If you win the battle of the planet, you can choose where to go to next and vice versa if you lose. Historical campaign is where you follow the movies script and play in the battles like they happened in the movies. You first start off as an imperial, chasing the rebels (there are 2 planets where you are imperial - i've forgotton). Athen you are a part of the alliance. I have done the battle of hoth and won but that's where I had to turn it off last night. BTW - you need 2 people in the snowspeeders - one to pilot and one to fire the towcable!! This is great from a team aspect. The online part I havent used yet beacuse there are no others with the game yet . That should change tonight as I think other aussies are getting the game today. i was abble to set up a LAN match against my brother and that was pretty cool. You can choose the number of AI's and their dificulty and whether or not you can choose your team or do it auomatically. We opted for a team match against the AI, the AI proved to be quite a challenge to beat. Anyway that't it for now - better do some work....
