what do you think of edenbridge?

I haven't heard edenbridge. I'll have to check them out.

And nightwish isn't all bad, I guess. Keep in mind I'm just not a big operatic metal fan, most of it seems to be too overbearing and aimless. Therion is really one of the only ones I've heard that aren't too impersonal and have direction. Although, I'm kind of getting into Within Temptation.

Do you know Tristania? Much better voice. Less exerted and thus less exertive to listen to.

Deadlocked is the rOxxOrZZ!

Tristania have just been confirmed as the support for the Nightwish UK gigs in February, so I will be seeing them there.

Downloaded a song off their site today, I can see them being a good live act, but they are not doing much for me on cd.

And Jofa, get the first Edenbridge album, 'Sunrise in Eden', as in my opinion it far surpasses anything they have done afterwards. And you they will bore the tits off you live... I saw them at The Bloodstock Festival this year, and they were probably the most boring to see. Lanvall is an ace guitarist, but the fact I saw them perform exactly the same set, two days earlier, sent me to sleep.

And Within Temptation's new stuff annoys me, whereas the only other song I have is called 'The Dance (live)' and it is ace!

Good Old Vintage SG :) Pleases me so. I am thinking of upgrading to the Epiphone Custom, like one of my guitarists has.

The Irony of me playing an Angus Young style guitar and being in a band that covers AC/DC Frequently and seems to write AC/DC style songs (BTW, we are recording in a couple of months, for anyone who is interested) is that I don't play Guitar in the band. A singer all the way I am.

When's the last time a thread stayed on topic here after the first post? This one lost it's way a long, long time ago; I'd say when baby names were starting to be suggested.

Besides,.. was this ever a topic we would really want to stay on? If so,.. then which topic brought up in this thread is the one to dwell on? There are several.

Ahh well, if it is to locked, so be it.

While it's still up:

For those that care, here is the rest of my guitar collection:

Only the basses. ;) The guitars are just too small and fragile for me to "work my magic" on them in that particular way. But a bass on the other hand... :naughty:

Ray: Well, not at the same time! ;)

Seriously; I don't play nearly as well as I would wish to at this point in my life. I'm seriously out of practice at this point from working my steady gig which often leaves very little time for anything else. :(
