Devilsfanatic
I knew it'd be 8. something, Gamespot is usually the ones I trust, IGN is too liberal with their assessments.
StoneDragon
Sound:8. (For me its ok because I dont care about the sound, I care about the gameplay) Graphics:6 =(. (Ah well. It seems that Obsidian didnt tweak the graphics.) Ohhhhhh...its X box so it might be different from the Pc one. Oh hey. Can someone give me the link to the system requirements of KOTOR 2? Im worried my comp. will be too low for the requirements.
lukeiamyourdad
I hate Gamespot. They give awards to game that don't deserve it and randomly give good ratings to some games and bad to some others. They should be burned to death. Besides, look at the community reviews. I think they're the one of gave Lords of the Realm 3 a 6.5 when everybody knew it deserved at most a 3...
StoneDragon
Eh, who cares what gamespot say anyway. All I know is that the game is gonna be good.
Darth333
I am satisfied with the review: 8.5 is not bad. And what is their main complain? Graphics. For me graphic in a RPG are secondary. They also say that the storyline gives an impression of "deja vu but that it's good. I'll see by myself tomorrow
GodVegeta1982
Lazy Link This one is better then the GameSpot.com one!
Devilsfanatic
The main cast is completely different, but characters from the first KOTOR make regular appearances, (something sure to cause veterans to exclaim, "Oh, c'mon, there's no way he became a Republic admiral!"). Carth? CANDEROUS!
ChAiNz.2da
As far as graphics go, I'll take it with a grain of salt. If they're comparing it to something like Doom3™...yeah...then almost EVERY game out there is going to be less than 8-10 Personally, content is what I'm interested in. Don't get me wrong, Doom3 is pure eyecandy (if you've got the PC muscle to run it 'correctly')..but c'mon...there's only so many different blood spray patterns you can see till it all looks the same...meh Give me a good-->great storyline with some action over Myst™ (yawn) anyday
starmark2k
I liked the video review its got good movies and the site has some great new screens aswell.
Robb
theres nothing that bad in that review, other than graohics which we knew what they'd be like anyway. altho it confirms igns review that the ending isnt as good as it shud be they do say the story as a whole is an equal to the first - which can only be a good thing. StoneDragon
Its possibly Canderous. After all he is a mandalorian and its impossible to have a mandalorian a republic admiral.
Hannibal
They only gave it a 6 on graphics because they are basicly the same as KOTOR1. I guess they expect improvements.
lukeiamyourdad
Same engine, 1 year later. What did they expect ?
Prime
I'm glad Obsidian went with more content, added animations, and the like instead of just improving the graphics. It's not like KOTOR looks like crap on a good PC...
starmark2k
The review was generally positive and 9.4 is not bad at all
GodVegeta1982
If canderous, it would have to be the LS, cause in the first game, if DS, he follows you as you become Sith Lord again!
Shalebridge
Well if the graphics are as good as they were in the first KOTOR then I will be satisfied with that What I am really looking forward to though is the new story, I can't wait. Shalebridge
Good point, maybe how you answer the questions at the beginning of the game will determine his role, or if he even will make an appearance.
Hannibal
It's Carth. They put it that way because they know a lot of people don't like him. Obsidian isn't stupid they aren't going to take a character into a totally ridiculous direction.
lukeiamyourdad
I think what really bugged them was the framerate drop. I'm happy with the graphics. They look really nice. Just because some FPS has great graphics doesn't mean another one with less eye-candy is ugly. DOOM3 was certainly full of eye-candy but other then that? The game got quite repetitive(damn annoying flashlight). *Goes back to the old Doom games.

Exactly, I think that's how most of us KOTOR1 fans feel.
starmark2k
Gaphics are proberly one of the least important things about an RPG. The story is always the most important elements in an rpg and in star wars its a character and action mix that is important. so the review sounds good considering its a star wars RPG. GodVegeta1982
Lazy Link Best review so far! and I quote them as to saying, "Sorry Fable, this is the RPG of the year for the XBOX!" I mean, damn, it just came out and its getting this kind of praise! Good job Obsidian!
GodVegeta1982
Maybe its either of them depending on which side you choose?
