Level limit in KOTOR2

Ok, I searched the forums trying to find an exact answer about this, but didn;t find any. Is there a level limit in KOTOR2?

 

I've read that there was no level limit, then I read that the limit is 30, then 40, then 99, ect.

 

Has anyone played the game through that can tell me? Is there a level limit?

Here they say they removed the cap. About the middle of the page.

The limit is 50 from what I can gather, supposedly that is where the .2da files end. Darth333 would know more about this.

 

I have been to 45-46 personally.

...and good luck Rhett: I tried to do it the unlimited xp glitch in the Korriban tomb but ran out of patience at lvl 40 after this, I had a lot of fun frying ennemies with force lightning.

Hello! 1st post. The limit is 50. I bought this little cheat code memory card and downloaded a save with max exp., auto levelled up to 50 and the exp. needed line at the bottom of the screen dissappeared.

Why would they have 50 levels? You can't get that high if you don't use the infinite XP glitch. By the way, are the combat animations at level 50 that different from the ones at level 30?

i finished the game at level 24 so i guess the xp cap is at thirty

It is at 50.

Highest I got was 28 on two characters (female light and dark) playing through male dark now, anyone care explaining the unlimited xp on korriban glitch?

 

And what does lvl 30 have to do with different animations?

I did it using this glitch or whatever you'd like to call it:

 

Infinite Hssiss Spawn:

On the planet korriban with the sith corpses that spawn a set of Hssiss the first time you examine them, there is a glitched corpse that infinately spawns Hssiss.

 

The corpse is located in the Sith Temple at the end of the Shryak Caves. After the second "Vision" involving the mined bridge, head east to a path split, then head south until you reach a small room. In the center of the room is the jedi corpse, and each time you examine it 2 Hssiss spawn in the room. If you have a high enough Force Storm and Death Feild, you should be able to harvest 40 Hssiss at a time with no risk to your health (Death Feild x Lots of enemies = Full Health). And since each Hssiss is worth 400xp thats like 16,000xp every 45 seconds.
