Keyan Farlander
Thank you for your concern. But rest assured, I never buy anything I don't presently have the cash for. My obsessive organizational skills have led to insane planning of every expense, recreational or not, I will have or could possibly have for next several years. I have every purchase planned so far in advance it would make you physically ill to know the details. I am an extremely sick human being.
Rogue15
i love my car. almsot got into an accident...stupid intersection and left turning. grr. anyways... payday is tomorrow...and i'm glad cause i don't have to wait for my dad to get home in order to use the truck to go pick it up. i've been having frequent sleep paralysis: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis this morning my eyes were opened when it occured. fun ****. i'm depressed and i don't know why. I might have to skip work on saturday. part of the depression could because my lack of social skills with girls. yeah. I was happy to see that Galaxies is getting another expansion in May. Rage of the Wookiees. Hope my character gets to enslave some of them, since he's Trandoshan.
edlib
Originally posted by Keyan Farlander I never buy anything I don't presently have the cash for. Good man! I have a bunch of credit cards, but I never leave a balance on any of them. I save up the money for what I want, do extensive research on exactly what I want to buy and where I can get it for the best possible price, then put it on the credit card, and pay off the bill for card as soon as it comes in,.. sometimes even before the bill comes in. And the only reason I do that way is because I refuse to carry a checkbook around with me. However, I almost never make any large purchases spur-of-the-moment. The downside is that it sometimes takes me months or years to get something really I want if it's costly... like the new PC I've been dreaming about for several years now. That's especially hard because the technology changes as I'm waiting, then all my plans change accordingly. Uh... 3/9/05 Short day at work (Wed.) Nothing going on that involved me, so I thought I'd take advantage of that fact whilst I could, since I have a long day today (Thurs.) and am working every day this weekend. Sunday's show (Chaka Khan and Floetry) looks like it's going to be a royal pain in the ass. Not looking forward to that one. I'm really glad it's spring break next week! I'm gonna need it after this weekend. The show today is something like 12 different bands. Setup at noon, soundcheck starting around 2, then a full run-through/ dress rehearsal all afternoon, with the show at 8:15 tonight. Then I have a 8:00 am call tomorrow morning. Yay. Burnout City, here I come!
Rogue15
ah no work saturday, so i didn't have to ask for it off. we got out of work earlier than normal today, which was great. my car is due for an oil change in about 200 miles. If i walked to work, it would be like that last roadmarch at basic. learned that my supervisor that's in the reserves (he's an MP) is getting deployed to Africa on a humanitarian mission this july. He wants me to go with him. I really wanna...i mean..all i have to do is go to a ****ing recruiter...o and then i have my family to deal with. yay. =\
Nute Gunray
Medical Officer's Journal Supplement Stardate March 11 The last day of spring break came with three inches of snow. I finished reading 1421: The Year China Discovered America. It was a very good book and now I have to wait for someone to finish reading it so I can DISCUSS. Last night at the bar, there was this smoking hot girl named Liz. I don't talk to Lizeses any more because they tend to be named Elizabethes and I don't want to get into that again. But she was so hot.
edlib
I think I missed a whole day somewhere... 3/10/05 Long day, but the show went well. Got home earlier than I expected too (before 11:30,) which was good, since I had to get up around 4:30 am on the morning of: 3/11/05 I had to be at work before 8am, which means leaving around 6:30 for the commute in. Snotty theater group doing a play in the hall. They've been coming here for years, but every time they have more stuff than the time before, although it's always the same exact show. This morning it became obvious to all involved that they aren't going to fit in the hall anymore if they keep going at this rate. It wouldn't bother me if this was the last time we saw them here. Came home early and went straight back to bed. Got back up just a short while ago. I used to be able to get by on 4 hours of sleep or less, but not anymore. Tomorrow night we've got a group of Iranian musicians... that should be interesting.
Rogue15
aghghgh.... anyways..today/yesterday lol 11, march 2005 friday...... eh, mom wakes me up at like 7 am after i go to sleep at 3....so i wake up and start swearing really loudly cause i hate being waken out of a deep sleep like that, i went upstairs wrote out a check for half of my car repair bill (paying it in halves is easier), managed to get some pop tarts and get back down the stairs, eat them and then my sister comes downstairs and tells me what her week has been like, etc..and i'm like half-awake, then everybody leaves and i manage to fall asleep again, then wake up at 10:30 go upstairs get shower and dressed etc, browse the forums, and listen to some music, then my dad gets home and i head out cause my mom had an errand on the table for me , with money to go get 2 bags of pretzels from that pretzel shop. (from that pretzel shop i posted a pic of a while back) and i had to get some lunch, decide to use my cell phone while driving my car, kinda cool cause the place is like walking distance, but i had the number saved in my phone so it was all cool, i picked up the pretzels then drove around the block, parallel parked my car and picked up the food, no waiting in freaking lines (well, except for the pretzel shop that lady is always on the phone when i go there!! AUGH!) played some galaxies, decided to check out the space escort missions and found them to be pretty damn fun and addicting...did that til i had to go to work. Work sucked. they have these new boxes of listerine which hold 6 1.5 liter bottles.....augh, and they're rectangular so i can't effectively use the crowbar on them and had to use my hands...complete bull****. this other guy that was helping managed to get his fingers to bleed, which is quite easy. =\ we managed to get out an hour earlier though. meaning i'll have a crap paycheck next week since i got out early yesterday....that's like 3 hours=$24...hmm well guess it's not TOO bad, but still, and i'm not working saturday so...yeah. When i got home me and my sister went to Arby's for a late supper. market fresh sandwhiches are so good. then watched bourne identity dvd for the second time. i love that movie. edlib
3/12/05 Snowed yet again. Not enough to cancel anything... just enough to make everything sloppy and slippery. The show should have been a piece of cake: 4 players, 5 mics. Yet somehow I didn't get a chance to sit down from the time I got there until after the show started. The engineer the band brought wanted to re-EQ EVERYTHING! Every speaker we had in the hall, seperately, including all the monitors. It took forever. I didn't think it sounded any better afterwards, but he was happy. It's funny... about half the time when bands bring thier own guys they say "Wow! This is a great hall and a great sounding sound system! You guys have some great gear!" The rest of the time we get "You actually work on this crap?!?? And this hall is miserable! How can anyone play in here?" Yesterday's guy was the latter. And it's always one or the other... nobody ever feels indifferent about it. I dunno... I manage to make it sound pretty good (at least to me) in there day after day without spending a whole lot of time or effort trying to fix all the "problems" that some of these guys who come in claim to hear. Maybe it's me...

edlib
Floetry is playing now. They are insanely loud. I'm glad I can sit in the office and wait until the change-over for Chaka Khan. She will be almost as loud. What a sucky day. Details to follow.

Nitro
Survived the camping, saw Robots and Be Cool, and now my ex-fiance is on the phone crying to me because her boyfriend (the one she left me for) might ditch her after she got drunk and boinked his roommate on Friday, and the only reason I'm even talking to her is 'cause I might be able to get a hatef*ck out of her if I play the concerned friend and invite her over to cry on my shoulder some more. Cruel? Yeah... But then again, so was walking in on my fiance getting tagged by some guy I've never even heard of, and I'm a big fan of revenge... Especially when it's ironic. And before you ask, yes, I'm bitter.
edlib
3/13/05 Oh sucky day! Oh how so very suck-suck-sucky! Show's over and I'm home again. Thank heaven. We needed at least 2 more hours, (and I personally would have scheduled at least 4, maybe 6 more) to set up this show. 2 huge bands, filling every inch of the stage, using every mic cable, monitor, AC cord, (and what have you...) that we have. We only had 2 hours to load them in, set them up, and then an hour to soundcheck Chaka, and then another to check Floetry. Then there was a local band, and a video projection roll to set up and hear. It was an impossible schedule, and we blew right through the first deadline by nearly an hour right off the bat. Setting us way behind for the rest of the day. See, the producer/ promoter was doing this as a fund-raser for charity, so they had: a.) No budget to begin with; b.) No desire to see us go into overtime; and, c.) Wanted to keeps all costs to the bare minimum to put every penny toward whatever organization that it was that they were trying to raise money for. So they scheduled a 1:00 pm call to load-in for a 7:30 show, with doors at 6:30. Either one of these bands, just by themselves, would normally have nearly twice that time to setup and check in the venue. Trying to do both was crazy. The fact that we got through it at all was somewhat miraculous... The big problem is: now that we've done it once, we will be expected to do it again. Of course, next to this, almost everything else will appear really simple.

You will probably quit playing that game unless you really enjoy shooting THROUGH people and not hurting them. My weekend was alright, mostly crap, but I got OK sleep this time. My girlfriend and I have 2 cats, the older one is mine, the 'kitten'(almost 2) is hers, and the stupid thing broke her femroal hub(hip joint essentially). It took 235 bucks worth of Vet visits to learn this, the damned cat cost 70 bucks to start with! So she has decided to get it surgery, which will cost another FEW HUNDRED dollars. Now she thinks I am a heartless ahole b/c I told her to put it down and get another cat that wont cost 700 bucks to be healthy, I mean, its a CAT, the local shelter has 130+ of em waiting to be adopted. I love the little bitch but seriously now..................

Rogue15
was too sore to go for my morning run, so instead i went to the city where i might get transferred...45 minutes away might not be worth $8 an hour...i dunno. washed my car...almost got a second shower at the same time cause the stupid top of the hose was leaking. after that i went to subway for lunch, came home and decided to just be bored til i went to work...got to work and decided i wasn't going to be the one opening boxes, ended up packing the bottles which wasn't as bad.....we only worked an hour less than what we usually do...tomorrow only working 6 hours, that's if something doesn't get messed up. chatted with someone that girl usually hangs out w/at work, as she wasn't at work today. I'm getting "homesick" for basic training, as everything is seeming to get very boring and repetative, it's depressing. Been working out for an hour a day. my arms are sore. my wrist is hurting again. joy.

edlib
I would have a lot more money if I didn't have pets. And that's without a lot of vet's bills. That's just food and litter and stuff... 3/15/05 I was in pain all day. The majority of the aches and pains I awoke to yesterday have cleared up for the most part,.. but my right knee is in spasm for some reason. Totally locked up. Moving around hurts like hell. This happened last year, also. Took a couple of days for it to clear up. I was miserable the whole time, too. Still tired. I guess I haven't fully recovered from the nastiness that was this weekend. I'm glad it's a fairly easy week.
Rogue15
yesterday kinda sucked. thought i was gonna get finished with work at 8, and they ended up making us stay til 11:30....30 minutes past official time to leave. 3rd shift is no more. 2 weeks left of this ****. And i'm almost back to where i was when i started 4 months ago! near-broke. /sigh I wanted to take my knife out and stab some stupid guy in the face yesterday....bragging about how he gets it all the time. I hope he gets an std and dies. I keep getting the 'are you quiet all the time?' question from almost everybody. I could've went to a bar last night w/that girl and her friend and some other people from work, but i don't drink so i said no...i hate living with my parents, cause otherwise i prolly would've said 'what the hell, i'll go' so anyways....worked out for about an hour last night after work....my muscles don't hurt as much as the skin on my fingers.....blistering and **** from the stupid 1.5 bottles of listerine.....meh. I'm sick of work...time just goes by super-slow and the machine breaks down and pisses me off so much that i want to walk out instead of just stand around doing nothing for 15 minutes. When i'm doing something, the time goes by faster. I'm trying to cut back on my intake of soda and instead drink water/orange juice/milk/energy drinks...as they are more healthy for me, and might cause me to be more awake during the day. Also trying to make my own food instead of just going out and spending $7 a day... I'm not working this weekend, they can fire me i don't freaking care anymore. -_- Well gotta go get some gas in my car and get to work yay.
