yah_baby92
I got Sam & Max Hit The Road and it wouldn't let me play because I have a Windows XP and it can't run in DOS. So I downloaded the new EXE and it looked like it would run perfectly but then I heard the sound, the sound was perfect but there was no picture, just black. I have never played this game and it looks great. Please help! I'm 12 and I would love to play this. Plz help. Plz. Plz. PLZ.

Samnmax221
Which can be found at scummvm.org and I think you can download it off lucashacks but I'm not sure
SyntheticGerbil
Don't help them. They type "plz." Too expendable to play this game.
SMNMX
You're a bit of a bastard, Mr. Gerbil. Anyway, yes, use Scumm VM. On a side note, a similar thing happens when trying the run the game on a Mac using Mac OS X (even when using Classic mode), but that's more of a problem as the Mac copies of the game don't run as well with Scumm VM. yah_baby92
Thanks! I got ScummVM and now for the first time in all 12 years of my life I got it working. One question though. Is it counted as cheating if I save the game in a save file and let's say it worked without ScummVm. Does the game have a save feature or do you have to restart the whole friggin' game again. Udvarnoky
I'm not sure what you're trying to say. Yes, the game has a save feature (both with the original engine and with SCUMMVM). You cannot, however, load a "real" savegame with SCUMMVM or vice versa.
Jake
In ScummVM press F5 to bring up the save/load screen, if you haven't found it yet.
