no time is a good time. Combat in this game is very unbalanced, beforeanybody hit master and didnt have decent armor, we actually had to group to hit stuff, you know, a group of 10 to take on a rancor was regular crap. Now, as long as you have 80% composite armor you can take on anything. I as a Teras Kasi Master took on about anything that was out there. PvP is TOTALLY unbalanced, it is now ruled by Jedi, which should not even be in this time line(dont get me started any further), and this is the latest worst phase. At one point people had found that defenses from all professions stacked together to get UBER great defensestacks,making them unhittable, next was the rifleman/fencer/combat medic phase where you were the only class to use a great stun damage weapon, which is one of composite armors few vulnerabilities and people being able to throw mind poisons that take out your mind in 1 tick/second and you dieing instantly without ever getting a shot in.

 

truth be known, if your an RPer, this wont effect you AS much, but it still will. RPers can make their own content, and if you are looking for such, when you get up, go to Starsider server, though there are a ton of a$$es, there is also a wonderful RPing community.

but I cannot really disagree with what you are saying. I'm a fencer/CH (dont laugh) and I get my arse handed to me when I go up against a rifleman (if he knows what he's doing muahahaha)

I doubt that the 'revamp' will really balance out this game.

Can trandoshans wear that armor? (minus the boots and gloves of course)

I think they most probably will be able to wear the armour. And if you didn't know that in the CR feet+hands won't be valid hit points any more, so you trandoshans + wookies won't get more damage than the other species, because you can't wear boots and gloves.

cool. Hopefully when my computer gets here by next week, i'll be able to get on immediately and start playing....I can't stop thinking about playing it...lol i had to start up KotOR today and play some of that....

Its going to take a month or two. They're testing it for a while, then I think they're testing it in the test center then its going to go public. Expect one hell of a download when it does come out.

This combat rewamp does look interesting (haven't read all that much about though) and I hope they get it right this time.

 

While they're at it, maybe we can have a second Jedi Purge and start all over again.

The beta for it [cu] should start rather soon. The devs have said they won't put it in til everyone feels it's ready. They want to make it right.....I myself am looking forward to seeing what is coming.
