Leper Messiah
well i am about 21 hours removed from when i saw Velvet Revolver come onstage at Brixton Academy and i have to tell you it was a legendary gig, one the best ive been to. Brixton Academy has a very small capacity so there was about 4,000 people present the atmosphere was awesome, the crowd was awesome, the band were legendary and most importantly i have seen the man known as Slash he was on top form last night with some outrageous work on his guitar as well as having his never-cut hair and trademark top hat and well, simply being Slash. ah also my mate caught one of Duff's plectrums (sp? ah you know the guitar thingys) i offered him fifty quid straight up but it wasnt happening unfortunately. I spent the entire gig down the front the way it should be done

ZBomber
Tickets can't be too much. They are still kinda a nightclub gig band, even if they do go outside the US.

Leper Messiah
woah, Kain didnt go for the kill incidently Velvet Revolver are one of many rumoured bands for this years Download Festival. Few things could make me attend that festival (despite the fact ive attended it two years running - Maiden and Metallica who i saw there both years) but seein Revolver again probably could. Megadeth are rumoured too, cant really see myself hiking it to Donington for that. Maiden are supoosed to be doin a festival this year as are Axl Roses imitation Guns N Roses in fact the only major metal band not connected with Download this year is Metallica as they are off recording a new album

GothiX
I got toi see Velvet Revolver at Lowlands Festival last year, in fact, I even got to talk with Slash backstage for a few minutes. He acted pretty arrogant, though, and even just walked away when I asked him about GNR.

GothiX
I only asked him what his favorite GNR song was. :/
ZBomber
Yeh, but Slash HATES Axl and GNR. And I read somewhere that he is mad that everyone just associates him with GNR or something. I'd probably ask the same question though, too.
GothiX
If he hates them so much, he probably should refrain from playing their songs. You're bound to end up with people asking those questions, really.

darthweaver
i went to see velvet revolver at glasgow and it was amazing, the crowd was nuts and it was absolutley wild! far better band live than their recorded versions which just sound weak. gothix: chat transcript now!!! wha'td he say and stuff (sucks about him talking g 'n' r stuff so harsh though
Mike Windu
I completely missed the whole GNR conflict thing. Someone tell me why they broke up, why Axl sucks, etc. I'm looking for a VH1 behind the music type story, so don't skimp on details!
Sivy
i've been to brixton a few times. on the way to the gig there's ticket touts everywhere... on the way back there's mean looking 'pop a cap in your ass' gangstas everywhere. but it's all good fun.
