Acrylic Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 I downloaded something with a .bin in it, and I'm wondering, what can I use to open it? Do I need to download something like WinRAR?
Acrylic Posted February 22, 2005 Author Posted February 22, 2005 I downloaded WinRAR, but it doesn't open it. Anyone else have any other ideas?
Rogue Nine Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 You need a .cue file as well to be able to burn it to disk.

Rogue Nine Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 You need a burning program, such as Nero. Use the .cue file, it should let you set up the .bin file to be burned to disk.

Cuz I really have no idea what to do.
swphreak Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 You sure winRAR couldn't open the bin file? I know I've looked at bin files with winRAR. Here's what you do. Open Nero Start Smart Goto Copy and Back up tab Click on Burn image to disc Make it so you can select all files Double click on your .cue file (I'd make sure the bin and cue are in the same folder) Then Proceed to burn. Like Sith said.... if you did it right... you CD should be whatever program you downloaded

Well, Thing is, I don't have nero. I have "Easy CD Creator 5". So, I dunno what I'd do there. Sorry, I'm really dumb when it comes to burning stuff I've never burned before. =/
swphreak Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Well, try looking for a "Burn image to disc" option. If not, you can get the trial here.
Acrylic Posted February 22, 2005 Author Posted February 22, 2005 Well, when I do that, a thing comes up that only lets me select from .cif files and .iso files. I guess I'll jsut have to get Nero.
swphreak Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Did you the put the "files of type" thingy to "All Files?"

•-BLaCKouT-• Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 You beat me to it LightNinja >> ISO Buster << It opens bin files as if they were zips or rars so you can drag individual files out Very handy! B.
The_One Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Or you could just mount the image on a virtual drive using a program such as Daemon Tools. Just Google it, the program is free.
Acrylic Posted February 22, 2005 Author Posted February 22, 2005 Well, I used IsoBuster. Everything's fine and dandy! Thanks all!
