Wondering whether you still need voice actors... I'm a dutchie, but my British accents (of various regions) are okay. I'm best with RP though.

Hey Ellderon!

 

I just noticed you're using TrueSpace for your 3-D modeling. Have you been able to use that prog to get stuff in game? Or has it been for the movies only?

 

Not to bring this thread off-topic, but although I personally use 3dsMAX... there may be some other modelers that prefer using that prog..

 

If/when you get the chance, and if you feel inclined ;) ... perhaps you could post a different thread topic covering how you manage to get ascii models (if necessary) to and from TS? Just a thought, and as I said.. when or if you get the time.

 

By all means don't let it get in the way of this mod! :D

LOL..I don't use ONE single 3D program..

 

I have Truespace 5.1, 3DMax 5.1, Lightwave, Milkshape 3D and was thinking of geting Maya.

 

Now I used Milkshape and Lightwave just to get models converted into various other games I was modding, and I'm not good in them.

 

TS and 3Dmax are my main modeling tools. Plus Lithuim Unwrapper and Crossroads for UV mapping/format conversions and it does wonders.

 

TS can open and save as 3ds format and many other withut problems.

Wow those ships look amazing Ellderon this mod is extremely promising.

 

I love the x-wing/Sith fighters, the Sith warship, the battleship and last warship especially. I hope the Republic or whatever government the good guys have get some of those beauties it'd be a shame if the bad guys get all the cool ships.

 

I look forward to seeing more about the characters and projected story also.

Hmm, I think we shouldn't get overzealous on the 3d models as the only ones we are using for the coruscant scene will be the ones i already have the 4 ships: Sith Starship, Repbublic Ship, Rep Fighter, New Tie Fighter. Though the other ones look nice a better thing to focus on now should just be the coruscant scene.

 

As for new beta progress, we are almost done with the new beta, it will have all the problems fixed, at least as much as possible. We will try and amke it a dmeo if we can, it will have 2 more modules in it and 2 more scenes. More udates when they come!

Okay a short update, we are working much on the Beta now to get out all the little chinks, there have been many believe me. Seems that every time I fix something, 18 different problems happen. But we are nearing the end. I know it seems to be taking forever to release the new beta but we want to make it the best as possible. And an update on the Coruscant Cutscene, I have begun to texture the ships myself so that I can get where i need to get, and so far i am almost to completeion just a few more areas. Here is a little fun pic i made:

Not looking good for whoever is on this side of the camera.

 

I think it looks cool, and the rendered scene will look awsome when it is completed, thanks to Ellderon for those models.

looks excellent!:D @gsccc Just wondering when i can expect to see more scripts? i only got the first set of lines for adon, but from what i gather from all these posts more scripts are ready. could be wrong but............. could you send me anything you may have for adon so i can record? if you need my email adress just pm me!:D :D

I've been reading up on this project, and it sounds great.

 

Unfortunately, I don't have any experience whatsoever in modding, so I can't help out with anything other than voice acting.

 

Fortunately, I do have quite a bit of experience in that field (I'm a theater major with professional vocal training).

 

So, I guess I was wondering if you still needed some extra voice actors? Would it be too far into the project (I see the Beta's already in production) to sign on an extra guy?

 

Just asking. Might as well try to contribute as long as I'm here.

More help in the voice acting arena is always welcomed. Just sign on to the forums and send me a pm so i can give you the dev forum password, i will be making a thread to voiceactors there.

Hey I like the idea and would like to help in any way I can.

I don't hace any experence in modding but i am a skilled graphic artist and beta tester, i also have exp doing voices(I make my own movies).
