AngryFan Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 Very proffesional art! I kinda like it. The only thing I can complain about is that the women kinda look a bit masculine...and they're airbags don't seem to cover it. But it's still nice artwork.
Bastila Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 Originally posted by Emperor Devon Kyla, why didn't you post this drawing? The illustration itself is great, and the lines are funny... That is funny its true tho thats all he says.
MdKnightR Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 Let me thank you for placing a NON-ANIME fanart thread in this forum. It is a much needed distinction!
Jeff Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 Your skill is very impressive Kyla. Keep up the good work
Mira Dona Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 Oh my god, I just saw your gallery, your work is AMAZING! Please, by all means keep up the good work!
Snafu7 Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 Keep up the good work, this is some of the best kotor art I've ever seen.
Aash Li Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 So Kyla... what I want to know is, how did you get your art to look so nice? I mean what did you use to draw them with, and colour with? Me being an artist, I like seeing other peoples art and knowing what they use... even though sometimes I feel like my art looks like crap compared to theirs.
TheOssusKeeper Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 Kyla, really cool stuff, keep up the good work...
ChAiNz.2da Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 Unfortunately Kyla hasn't been with us for 4 months now I had just shifted this thread in the new forums to give examples of what "fits" here. I've talked to her (rarely) over at Obsidian Forums somewhat, but her DeviantART site is usually the best way to get in contact with her... Perhaps we can persuade her to return @Aash Li I'm the same way.. hehe.. I asked her "20 questions" earlier in the thread and she revealed some of her staple tools she prefers.. check them out, I was rather shocked on some of the stuff she uses, but Kyla pretty much proved that the tools doesn't make the artist... I'm still a big fan of her work, so I frequent her gallery often
Aash Li Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 Must be nice to be able to afford Copic markers... I looked them up and they are 6$ a pen, with sets ranging from 50$ to 400$ (on the site). At that price they can keep them and Ill continue using Photoshop.
Aristotélēsticus Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 your work is fantastic, you must work in a films making company.
Vaelastraz Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Wow, simply amazing how you can draw. I can't quite tell but to me it looks like you draw those pictures by hand. Is that right? Or is it photoshop (iam very far from being an artist ..) Anyway you are very talented. I like your style, reminds me of some other work i have seen before. You should consider drawing a whole comic. EDIT: Omg, didn't realize that topic was that old, the previous post isnt though ...
Yaggles Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 You have a lot of talent. Your style isn't really my favorite, I have to say, but I do like it. And why does Revan always have to be a girl? *pout* lol Well, nice work!
Niner_777 Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Great work. Also, your characters are consistent. That's good.
