Oh yay, a "Find Waldo" puzzle. I'm gonna go out on a lim here, even though I get a feeling it's a trick question. A blast door is an armored door that is designed to withstand blasters and blast (explosive) weapons. Blast shields are magnetic shielding. EDIT: Hmmm, I just remembered the line Luke said when Obi-Wan put that helmet on him: "But, with the blast shield down, I can't even see. How am I supposed to fight?" So I'm alittle unsrure now, but I'll keep to my answer.

What is so special about the name "coruscant" ? mtfbwya
ET Warrior
Originally posted by Sivy ET is one.... Lies, I was never in TPM to my recollection... As for the question, isn't it a little ambiguous? What do you mean what is so special? The name itself was created by Timothy Zhan (One of my favorite authors by the by.)
guybroom
I agree with ET's answer: It was made by Timothy Zahn and was in Heir to the Empire EU comic (I swear this was a FILM trivia thread). George Lucas used the name and scenery for the ROTJ SE scene. But I guess the answer you are looking for, is that the name was made in 1991, that was about 6 years before the SE came out (if i have my dates correct). Guybrooms answer is exactly what I am looking for. Namely, the word/name "coruscant" existed in EU before it appeared in the ROTJ SE/TPM etc *I'll give ET a point as well, because it is so good to see his majesty here, especially one that "doesnt bother with trivia threads"* * * * Q. ET Warrior
I'll give you no pics, but it is whatever that goofy little necklace trinket craps that Little Annie gives to Padme on the ship right after they leave Tatooine. We see it again in the clone wars cartoon, Padme apparently kept it in a nice box. As for my trivia-thread abstinence, I must admit, I simply felt the urge to flex my geek muscles

Tatooine ? Where did George Lucas derive the name for this planet ? [EDIT] heh..no takers ?? tatooine was named after the shooting location in Tunisia where alot of the Tatooine scenes were filmed * * * New question then Q. what was the name of the shuttle Hans strike team used to get onto Endor with ? mtfbwya

Astrotoy7
ET gets the pts despite the bad spelling(irony noted).. Sithy gets the horns question... * * * Q. How did Darth Maul locate the jedi on Tattooine ? mtfbwya
jedispy
A. Firstly, he detects Amidala's holonet transmission and traces it to Tatooine. Secondly he uses Sith probe droids to locate them. I'm assuming this is correct. With that said... Q: Who/What killed Jek Porkins?
Shok_Tinoktin
A) A ship malfunction cost him the ability to maneuver properly, so he was shot down by the Death Star turbolasers. Pass on the question
jedispy
I suppose you can get a point, but technically he was not killed by any weapon. It was a malfunction in fire control. His own weapons backfired and Red-6 was destroyed. If you watch the footage, it blew up with no weapons fire. Still a point is a point. Q: Other than Biggs Darklighter, provide the names of 2 of Luke's friends on Tatooine. (This scene in the movie was deleted. Hope to see it in the extended release version of Star Wars)
Shok_Tinoktin
Thats what I originally thought, too. But it was pointed out to me in another thread that the databank says he was hit by turbolasers. If you look, they were flying around him, and the camera angle makes it impossible to tell from looking.

abespam
name 3 instances in the OT where threepio was shut down... and name one when he was on 'screen saver/hibernate' By hibernate im guessing you mean he did himself.. 1. Jawas shut him down (he wakes up in the sandcrawler)ANH 2. Leia shuts him down in the falcon after the falcon attaches itself to star destroyer ESB 3. Chewie shuts him down at Bespin after he realised his heads on backwards. Hibernate - At Obi-wan's place on tatooine he asks permission to shut down and then does so *** Q what is the name of the strategy holo game that artoo and chewie are playin in the falcon on their way to Alderaan. jedispy
A: Dejarik. Also, in reference to the prior question, I suppose you can say that a stormtrooper shut him down when he blew him apart with a blaster. Astrotoy7
Abespam....be careful you dont stray too far into EU... dejarik is EU IMO Lucky for you jedispy knows the CCG carry on * * * Q: In Return of the Jedi, one ewok says something in plain english (or galactic basic if you will). What is it that it says? Im interested in hearing the answer to this mtfbwya
jedispy
No takers? O.k. On Endor, when Artoo cuts them down out of the net, the Ewok hunting party besieges them. Then 3PO sits up and they all begin to worship him. C-3PO speaks to them in Ewokese. Right at that instant, two ewoks look at each other, and one speaks in words that are comprehensable: film time = 01:11:04 I imagine what lucasfilm intended was to show us what was being said in Ewokese. It might have been better to use subtitles, but that's o.k. Most people have seen that part hundreds of times, and never once noticed it. O.k. New Question: 2 points Q.1: There are two times in the entire series (not counting ROTS at the time of this writing), where R2-D2 uses stairs. Q.2: Provide screenshots
