The Holowan Plugin had been a compilation mod put together by T7nowhere. It included mods by hordes of other modders over many months worth of time. I'm certain following T7 & crews USM mod that this may find it's way into the light of day with him or maybe with another modder. But really at this time there isn't that much content that has been put out there that is of that high of degree of quality to warrant a Holowon Plugin for TSL yet. However I wouldn't be adverse to starting one just don't ask for a release date anytime soon.

Actually I suppose I could do this if anybody would like to have there mods included in a "Holowan Plugin for TSL" release post it here or send me a PM and tell me which mods you would like to see included in there. I will go ahead and blow the dust off of my head mod that I got distracted from and expand it into a Holowan Plugin for TSL.

I will not release this as a mod untill after mods such as Darth Strakers Sith Armada for TSL and the USM are released for compatibility reasons. I will also include some of my custom recruits I had been working on for "The Deathstar mod" since I have put that on hold for a little bit.

When I decided to assemble Holowan plug-in it was because of the endless complaints of incompatibilities between mods. I will not be making a Holowan Plug-in for TSL. I have to many mod ideas that I want to make. ;)

The mods that were included were either ones that I liked and were popular or were very popular.

Darkkender if you decide to take on a project like Holowan plug-in you should be aware that the best way to go at it is to choose the mods yourself and then Personally ask for permissions to include the mods. It might seem like more work but in reality it is not. Waiting for others to offer up their mods is too slow and often will not yeild very many volunteered mods.

I have a request for the as-yet hypothetical Holowan plug in- when you pacakge it in .zip/.rar/self extracting exe can you please have it extract each mod to a separate folder, since TSL will read them or a list of what files go with what mods? It would help enormously with organization of the override folder.

im sure this mod (if youre gonna go through with it Darkkender) will be very appreciated by ppl who doesnt know (or want) to combine .2da's (to me it seems to take frikken ages and sometimes i just cat get it 2 work at all)

For future reference to any modder out there, I give permission to use my mods in whatever they do. If by the time you start really putting the plug-in together, and I have any "quality" mods out, I give permission to put them in.

I do stress the word "quality" because I'm just testing the water with my mods, so none of them really have the polished effect that some other modders can dish out.

That was well within my plan T7. I know among many things I may be further getting over my head than before but hey who knows.

I am one of the three that voted no, why you ask, well simply put, that makes things too simple... what do I mean? Well if you make mods compatible for others, then they wont have to do it themselves, meaning they wont have to start "modding"... the more the merrier... hehehe, don't get me wrong I make all my mods as compatible as I can, but only the easy files... :animelol:

I'm on the fence about this one. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see another plug-in. The original one was really nice. I just don't think we should be working on one so soon. There is already many things we haven't figured out yet about KOTOR II (like certain files we can't edit). I personally think we should review this idea in a couple of months when we have an excess of uncompatable mods.

I voted maybe, I'd like to see one but not just yet, I think its to early for this. There are I would guess still alot of great mods to come out and in my opinion a plugin like this should consists of the cream of the crop or at least quality mods and not "just" a compilation of whateever is out there at the moment.

Of course you could release one now and then release another one later too ;)

But personally I would set this back a few months for now.

Ya I voted Maybe as well. There are still several great mods being developed and I know from experience how draining making a compilation mod can be.

It probably would be a good Idea to wait a few months, or at the very least collect the choice mods in preparation. ;)

I think time would be better spent trying to get everyone to include their modding information in a readme. That way people can pick and choose what they want and combine it themselves. Combining .2da's and the like really isn't that hard. And once you do it, you know for next time.
