Master_Ginn
So, i've been thinking about getting City of Heroes. I have lots of time on my hands and a little bit of money. Has anyone played it? Or have it to tell if it's a good buy, even though there is a monthly online fee? I think it looks great, but i don't wanna spend a lot of money on a game that may end up sucking. Thanks for any advice you have!
Tyrion
Bah, screw monthly fees, Get GUILD WARS! Bah, screw monthly fees, Get GUILD WARS! Bah, screw monthly fees, Get GUILD WARS! Bah, screw monthly fees, Get GUILD WARS! Bah, screw monthly fees, Get GUILD WARS! Guild Wars I've heard is pretty good, but you should only get it if you prefer large-scale pvp and missions. It's not a smaller scale, in-and-out type of game. Edit- Damn, my joke just got butchered by the Chronocops...this was supposed to be after Tie's post. Alegis
I played the closed beta; and to be honest it wasn't worth it. It got extremely boring after a week It's always the exact same thing. Repetition may be a factor used in a lot of mmorpgs, this is just way too much of it. Missions? Why of course lots of missions! Go into that compound and defeat x enemies. Map always the same, mobs same spot... Just different model. And you use the same power over again. To make it even more boring you can put it on autocast so you only have to move... Be a great superhero? Why of course. Fight some purse snatchers or another legion of guys with a gun. The only good thing about it is the customization of the characters Also it has no item stuff at all. No trading, no looking for weapons etc.
RpTheHotrod
I tried the free month trial. I was bored to tears after an hour of play.
Nalukai
I got it just because i was a big marvel fan and collector when i was a kid... I spent a few hours making different superheroes and played them until lvl 2 and uninstalled because the customizing part of it was more fun than the gameplay itself.. word of advice: use your money for eggs or something, at least they wont collect dust.
