I've never even heard of Stephen Lynch, but I love Weird Al so maybe I should check him out.

 

Actually Al has a new album done I think and it should be released soon. There's a free song download at his site, http://www.weirdal.com. It's a parody of a song I know from hearing my mom listen to the radio but I can't put my finger on it.

Weird Al is absolutely awesome. I enjoy his music. I have some songs on my iTunes list. I intend to get more. It's quite entertaining to hear the songs he re-creates. He has some great songs that are about Star Wars, too.

yea those ones are the best, I looked on wikipedia that Jimmy Page (to those who don't know who he is: Lead Guitarist of Led Zeppelin.) is a fan of his music but refused to let him use his music for one of his songs. (If Jimmy did let him, I would give Al the lyrics to a parodied song I posted in the fan fic/art section called "Goin' to the Star Forge" which originated from "Goin' to California".)

I'm pretty sure that is not a genuine Al song, instead one that somebody did and credited to him. I've never heard it, and he already has "pretty fly for a rabbi" so i doubt he would parody the same song twice.

it was originally "pretty fly for a white guy"by outcast, but theres a few more pardoied versions out there i think...

I double checked his discography and Pretty Fly (for a Jedi) is not on Weird Al's list. When I googled the song title, it popped up with The Offspring (or Offspring Lyrics) as the artist. So this one's not a Weird Al song.

"Amish Paradise" is my favourite Wierd Al song. All his stuff is good though.

 

I also like "Phony Calls." Its a parody the TLC song "Waterfalls." It wasn't one of his more popular songs, but I like it.

 

His first hit is still good too. "Another on Rides the Bus."

He's got some great parody songs, though I wish he'd do some more original work.

I always thought half his albums are parody and the other half original. (Greatest Hits and the like not included.) I know its the case with "Bad Hair Day."

He does have a pretty good amount of original work on his albums, but I don't know what the actual ratio is. Some of my favorites are originals, "Genius in France" and "Albuquerquie"

That are two of my favourites by him. They're definitely awesome. I also like some of his songs that he make fun of some of Eminem's and Nelly's songs. Like Trash Day (Hot in Herre) and Couch Potato (Lose Yourself).
