Emperor Devon
On another note, other than the staple "Tolkein, Clancy, Koontz, King, Rice & Rowling" has anyone read any good books by a relatively "unknown" author? I'd like to diversify some of my reading into an untapped source so to say... QUOTE] There's always Dante's inferno... I think I'm the only soul who actually enjoyed reading it. I'd recommend the book "Eragon" by Christopher Paolini. It's his first book, but it's very good. The sequel comes out on the 31st. And if you've read those, there's always the books I listed on the thrid post.
Commas
has anyone ever read any of Chuck Palahniuk's books. he is the man who wrote Fight Club. He's written some other stuff that is pretty crazy, like Choke.
Darth333
I read mostly French and Spanish books (last time I went to Spain I bought almost an entire suitcase of books). I rarely read entire books in English as I read more slowly in this language. I tried reading LOTR in English but had to switch to the French translation after 100 pages or so or it would have taken me ages to finish the books. I read a bit of everything from old stuff to contemporary books, including best sellers. Some French books. Fables de l'Humpur- Pierre Bordage Pardonnez nos offenses - Romain Sardou On ne badine pas avec l'amour - Alfred de Musset (1810-1857) Agreed! Those are very good I didn't read the others you've listed.
Patomon5
I actually like reading Shakespear's plays, not all but quite a few. Henry the V Richard III Hamlet King Lear Macbeth Othello Julius Caesar Comedy of Errors Merchant of Venice Much ado about Nothing Taming of the Shrew Also like reading Edgar Allan Poe, Robert A. Heinlein, Lovecraft, Fleming, Spillane, Hammet, Carlin and some political books I refuse to mention. I tend to re-read books, just like I like to re-watch movies. I not sure about the break down of averages, but several people I know will only read a book once , then either toss it, give it away or just leave on the shelf for dusting. Ayatus
Chromozone is released 04-15-05, this is the first Stéphane's novel. A very good Spanish novel, La caverna de las ideas of José Carlos Somoza. I read only French translation. I read very slowly in English and I write more slowly still.
