Rebel_Trooper Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 To Rebel_Trooper, I'd like to know if Space Coruscant is in Instant Action? (I have asked this question many times, but it's usually good to have more than one source) I know it's been answered by others but just to be sure it's not. It wasn't even that good anyway- it was really empty!
zerted Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Does the sniper have a corsshair in normal view (ie. not zoomed in)?
Commander Obi-Wan Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Still 2 days for me Same here.....what are you getting it for? PS2 for me.

ET Warrior Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 We already HAVE the SWBF2 first impressions. I'll merge the two threads, but any new threads like this will get the lockdown.
McCusto Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Same here.....what are you getting it for? PS2 for me. I am renting it for the X-Box for all of November. But I am getting it for PC on Christmas
MachineCult Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 This is great, I had a good thread for once and ET gives Rends' thread all the posts from it.
Rends Posted October 30, 2005 Author Posted October 30, 2005 Does the sniper have a corsshair in normal view (ie. not zoomed in)? No, it´s like the beta. No crosshair in standart view.
Kurgan Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Does anyone have a pic of a republic gunship It's unchanged from SWBF1, isn't it? What they're calling a "gunship" anyway, is just a LAAT with the "side doors" closed. *** IA = Instant Action (solo mode playing an MP map offline with bots). Yeah the Jedi blocking requires you to toggle the block option. You can't jump or sprint with it, and it rapidly drains your "energy" bar (the same one that's required for force powers and sprinting). You hold saber at the ready and block the stuff that comes in at random angles (at least that's how it all worked in the beta).
ET Warrior Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 This is great, I had a good thread for once and ET gives Rends' thread all the posts from it. Why does it matter? Furthermore, YOUR thread was basically the same thread as this one, and this one came first. It was either lock your thread or merge it with this one.
MachineCult Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Did you really have to just delete my thread and put it on the end of this one? No-ones ever going to read page 2!!! It just makes this one look better.
ET Warrior Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 I appear to have forgotten that it's a competition to see whose thread gets the most posts. Are we giving out a free copy of BFII for the winner? It makes it easier on everyone if there is only one thread to discuss first impressions of Battlefront II, and so I made it so.
MachineCult Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Well i wont post the same stuff here again so please hop over to gametoast: http://gametoast.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=2425 But feel free to ask questions here if you are not registert there! My thread was different to this one. I said tell to people tell us what they think about the game when they get it, Not ask questions here if you want or go to another website. Different threads, there was no need for it.
ET Warrior Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 This is a pointless argument. I did what I did, I had good reason, and I can't undo it. Having a thread with a lot of posts in it isn't going to affect you any, so what's the point of complaining about it? You can still discuss your first impressions of the game, go ahead and discuss it. As I see, that's what this thread is for. So enjoi.
MandaloreBIC Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 omg!!!!! did you say taht maul (who should be dead) is on mastaf!!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!
Angarah Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 omg!!!!! did you say taht maul (who should be dead) is on mastaf!!?!?!?!?!?!??!?! No he said that Maul is on Mustafar I like Maul at the Jedi Temple, because it lets you see what would have happened if he lived to realize his dreams of attacking Jedi bookcases
rut-wa jodar Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 battle on Dagobah ! what`s that all about ? Did Pandemic mistakingly go to a Trekkie convention to get thier Star Wars Historical information ?
obiwanfan Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 I just got Battlefront 2 this morning and all I've got to say is WOW! The hero characters are super powerful and have their own powers. The Jedi/Sith have Force Push, Pull, Saber Throw and Lightning while others like Boba Fett have their trademarks like missiles and flamethrowers. But now all the specialist characters like wookies and jet troopers need to be earned in a battle by killing enemies, capturing command posts etc. But while this is a disadvantage some of the more more useless troops like the engineers have special powers for example the engineers can cut into enemy vechiles with the fusion cutters now. Last new thing I've come across is the space battles. They are fun but REALLY long. I sat playing my brother while he was trying to cripple my ship for over an hour! Anyways if I come across any more interesting facts I will try to post them here.
Kurgan Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 No he said that Maul is on Mustafar I like Maul at the Jedi Temple, because it lets you see what would have happened if he lived to realize his dreams of attacking Jedi bookcases At last we will have revenge... on reading!
Jug Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 Hmm, any comments on multiplayer performance? The lag and bandwidth requirements was a #1 complaint among many SWBF1 players and it would be good to hear things about this, especially of course from people who had problems with it before. Thanks for your reports so far!
ManiacMoFo Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 Hmm, any comments on multiplayer performance? The lag and bandwidth requirements was a #1 complaint among many SWBF1 players and it would be good to hear things about this, especially of course from people who had problems with it before. Thanks for your reports so far! if you'r talking about the PC version, then its a bit early to say cos there aint that many proper servers yet. most servers are running on someones home rig and home connections just aint good enough to run big games lag free. i have been playing on some ok servers though and the pings seem a bit more stable and best of all theres no 30fps cap in MP like there was in SWBF1. also some servers have been set up really poorly with multiple game modes and the crappiest maps running but this ofcourse is down to personal preferance as i'd like to play only the newer maps and space maps. the ticket amounts have been low in all of the servers meaning that the rounds tend to end pretty quick. im still waiting to see a 64 man space maps only server with tickets set higher for some massive space battles, i sure hope someone will set up a server like this .
Jug Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 OK, thanks for that.. Yes, I'm talking about PC to be clear. Will still be interesting to hear more about as the game gets more crowded, although the lack of a cap is sure a good start.
