RaV™
I noticed that the bands during a college football game played one of the tunes from Star Wars Epi.III. This seemed a bit awkward at most, but everyone seems to use the Imperial March as well.. I would tell you the name of the music if I knew, but it sounded alot like the music during the Maul fight. The Doctor
^That muisic during the Maul battle was called "Duel of Fates". I'm not surprised it was used. John Williams is a genius.

El Sitherino
Aww, I thought this was about drunken-stoned college garage bands at parties... Anyway, yeah. Star Wars music has been played at college games since '83, at least in Texas.
MdKnightR
I know that one of our rivals (for a high school I taught at, not attended) started using the Imperial March at the football games a couple of years ago. I asked our band director why not do something similar, and he told me that he does have the band play a piece of music that he said John Williams used as inspiration for the Imperial March. I can't remember what piece it is though. What I find strange is that our band played "The Final Countdown" by Europe at the end of every pep rally and football game since the late '80s. stingerhs
if you watch the Carolina Panthers, when their defense goes onto the field, they play the 'Imperial March'. well, at least during home games. and my sister's high school band played the 'Anakin vs. Obi-wan' theme for their competition. it was an OK rendition, but their brass section didn't have enough instruments to pull it off too well even though they hit the correct notes and stayed in key. The Doctor
My school Concert Band (there are many different bands) played the Main Theme last year in a medley that had the Star Wars and Raiders march songs in it. It was awesome.
Jeff
My high school plays Imperial March and the Opening Theme all the time at football games. And I have heard college bands playing it while watching on TV. I don't think it's that uncommon.
lukeiamyourdad
The Imperial March was played by my high school band too. It seems it's an international thing to play awesome music
