Yes, in fact, I think all the deleted scenes should have stayed, with the exception of the one where General Grievous kills Shaak Ti.

I'm torn whether the senate ones should stay or not. They weren't very well acted, but they would have added important information for the creation of the Rebellion. If they had been made better, then yes, I would agree with you, but some of the acting in the senate scenes are horrid.

I definitely think Yoda's scene should have been in there though. And the scene with Kenobi, Mace, and Yoda would have replaced a current movie scene where Mace has the same lines, so I say no to that one being included.

They probably weren't removed because they were bad, but because they didn't add enough to the story to warrant being kept in the movie.

I agree with the idea that the Yoda scene should have stayed.

I'm not too sad that the Yoda scene was cut, but I for sure would NOT have complained if it was left in. Rick fought for it, but George just didn't think it was necessary I suppose. Oh well.

They should've added the Shaak Ti, escape from SBD's in the pipes, and Yoda's landing on Dagobah. The reason why they should have shown Shaak Ti is because the people who seen the movies in the theatres (which should be us all) wouldn't have to be like where did Shaak Ti go? Is she still alive? The SBD escape (When Skywalker and Kenobi cut through the floor and escape General Greivous) is only needed to explain what way and maneuvers they used to escape the General. Dagobah is a must, because it's a great scene and you get a feel of what Yoda is going through at that very moment..

I agree!

Yoda's ship and take off scenes remind me of ET...

Actually I personally think only the scenes with the formation of the Rebellion were necissary, Yoda landing on Dagobah and the Grevious slaying Shak-Ti scene were alright, but not really necissary.

The formation of the Rebellion was very necissary IMHO, even as they were.

I dunno. I kinda agree with Lucas on how the focus needs to be on the children, not what happens to the side characters. 'Cause as cool as Yoda is, it really is about Luke, Leia, Anakin/Vader and to a lesser extent, Obi-wan.

I agree. though the deleted scenes were great, they would have diluted the film too much. The focus had to be on Vader, and the birth of the twins.

Though if I had to choose, I would say, the slaying of Shaak Ti by Grievous(which ultimately ran too long and had to be cut), and the confrontation betwen the Rebel Senators and Palpatine in his office. In retrospect, I think Lucas made a wise decision in his editing. It kep the film "tight".
