REDJOHNNYMIKE
Couldn't decide which of the title forums to post in so I farted this in the general direction of Ahto:D I don't know anything about how software works on the 360, just that microsoft "supposedly" made it easier to develop for, what are everyone's opinions on how this will effect the modding of KIII if it's released during 360's generation, would it be possible for all moddable features of KIII on PC to work well and transferr easily to the console, would it be possible for non-PC-owners or those who can't afford the memory, sound, and $500 video card upgrades required for nex-gen kotor, to mod the game on the system itself with our current custom tools (and dare I say, developer supported, compatible tools) and final mod products distributed over x-box-live. Is this the future of next generation Kotor?

Darth InSidious
No, but they'd be foolish not to make it.

Char Ell
My two cents: Too early to tell. But it does seem like MS wants the XBOX 360 to be able to interact with Windows XP Media Center Edition. So, much depends on how much interaction can be facilitated between WinXP and XBOX 360. I don't think modding on XBOX 360 itself will be viable as the XBOX really doesn't seem to be set up to support such activity. Maybe though it will be easier to interact between the XBOX and WinXP PC so that you can create/adjust mods on the PC and then transfer them over to XBOX for testing and use. I've done a little investigation into current XBOX modding and didn't feel compelled to spend the extra money to get a mod chip for my XBOX. I wouldn't spend more money to buy a mod chip for XBOX 360 either. So, if I had an XBOX 360, I wouldn't do mods for it unless it comes with that as a native ability. I wouldn't spend money on buying any mod chips after I would have spent US$400 to buy the system in the first place. After all, that's why I have my PC... El Sitherino
The only reason the 360 will interact with media center PC's is for home theatre set ups using them. The 360 as it stands right now won't be moddable.

lukeiamyourdad
Consoles and mods don't go well together. I don't expect any console, ever, to openly support modding. Companies being what they are, they'll never agree to that...since they stopped putting the words "hot" and "coffee" together in video games. Darth InSidious
You mean....the Coffee Simulater 2005 addon Hyper-hot Madness.....won't be coming out? But...but...
lukeiamyourdad
Yeah, apparently there were hidden adult-only files nobody could access without modding the console and using 100 cheats. It was something about doing kinky stuff with coffee.
REDJOHNNYMIKE
Stinger, assuming the console stabilizes;) What would have to be done to mod for it, would it require the equipment to be modded like the original, or can you use the controller usbs or networking ports to connect to the PC. If it were to actually work, would there be any chance of having KIII running on 360 while modding on PC and having changes occur instantly ingame?
