popcorn2008
Thank you everyone here at the forums for waiting but without further delay here are the top 5 questions we have selected for the question and answer event. I have already private messaged Darth Torpid with them, and we can expect a responce hopefully on Friday. Anyways enough of the small talk and heres your questions: Who is doing the voiceovers for some of the hero characters in the game? -Vatter If I recall correctly, Emperor Battle For Dune had co-op when you connected online and you could play the campeign together. Will EaW feature a co-op system and if so, how will it be done? - Tokarev Could you tell us more about natives or other speices? Benifits? what they do? etc. -Jmaster Do the explosions of destructed objects/units -both in ground and space- affect the nearby area/units? -Athanasios Does artillery have the range to stand behind a hill and hit enemys on the other side? - Marsman2020 Thank you to all forum members who participated in this event. We should all give Darth_Torpid-PG a big thank you
shadowsfm
sigh, i think these questions are a bit "what can units do?" heavy. i wont complain.
Lew
The answer to question #2 is no, but they'll mention the head-to-head galactic 1v1 multiplayer game.
shadowsfm
yeah, the second question is the best if it wheren't for the fact we all knoe the answer already. but maybe you are right, and he'll leak something interesting
revillsp
Q) If I recall correctly, Emperor Battle For Dune had co-op when you connected online and you could play the campeign together. Will EaW feature a co-op system and if so, how will it be done? A) You can play the campeign together but one person needs to play on the rebels side the other the Empire side. Could you tell us more about natives or other speices? Benifits? what they do? etc. A) there are quite a few native speices in the game rangeing from Bothins to Hutts...the bothins if they are on your side help incress your spys ablitys, the Hutts on the other hand will incress your income for your creadits. Q) Do the explosions of destructed objects/units -both in ground and space- affect the nearby area/units? A) Yes. Im not happy with the choosen Questions....... popcorn2008
Well... seeing as your not a dev you don't know the answers to the questions . Just because it may be answerable, they dont just give yes/no's the devs do a good job at providing new information to everyone. Try telling us why you dont like the choices instead of a simple "I dont like the questions" post. Otherwise, that's basically spam.
revillsp
OK, im sorry i didn't know i was Spamming.... The reason i don't like these questions, is because ive heard them before and heard the answers. Some on them are in the videos at http://www.empireatwar.net/galacticmap/index.htm. And the first question was answered in that Mulitplayer Diary on Gamespot, that I told everyone about on here.
Jmaster3265
Cool, I can't wait to hear a repsonse, thanks Popcorn and the other mods and admins for picking the top 5 questions.
Jamps
Nice to know you included one of my questions, but I'm interested in Jmaster's question. There hasn't been much discussion on the planetary races. As for the people who are upset over five questions that will be answered by the people who are creating the game and have hands-on experience with it and are the only people who could tell us about the game with 100% accuracy...........why be upset? Athanasios
The answers/"leaks" i expect... Who is doing the voiceovers for some of the hero characters in the game? Especially Vader's and pilot's voices. Also, if there is much variety, not the same and same Stimorol again again...Many RTS have this problem; you click a soldier 50 times, and the 49 times you get the same message (the 50th you might hear another message, because you clicked another units ). If I recall correctly, Emperor Battle For Dune had co-op when you connected online and you could play the campeign together. Will EaW feature a co-op system and if so, how will it be done? It's confirmed that we can play 1v1 as enemies, but nothing said if 2v1 can be also played, with the enemy be an AI. Yet, they might try to add this one also, even at this current stage of developement. I really anticipate this co-op feature (co-op with the meaning of the same team, not just playing together the same game). Could you tell us more about natives or other speices? Benifits? what they do? etc. I hope he leaks something about diplomacy here, not just "Rancors eat you, minocs eat asteroid mining facilities" etc. Beneft is a most general word for me, not with the strict meaning of "special fighting ability". Also, the "what they do", apart from the battle time, also applies to taxes they may pay, technological know-how help etc etc. Do the explosions of destructed objects/units -both in ground and space- affect the nearby area/units? In ground we know that particles/missiles that have (by default) area damage features can hurt an area (rebel torpedoe launchers is a claccial example). Yet, someone said that explosions of destructed units can also affect nearby area/units; in which video/article is this confirmed? FC and other games lack in this realistic feature. Not to mention space explosions, where you may see a Mon Cal "hand by hand" with an SD, and when the one explodes the other just moves on like nothing has happened... Does artillery have the range to stand behind a hill and hit enemys on the other side? Maybe specialised question, but nice to imagine; bombarding your spied enemy from nowhere is always fun to see Thank you to all forum members who participated in this event. We should all give Darth_Torpid-PG a big thank you I'll keep my "thank" until i see his answers . Besides, why should we stick only to these 5 questions and not ask more? You know, he did the mistake, he should just say the classic "USA...erm, Petro do not negotiates with ter...fans"

Thank you, Vatter. People should really be happy we even had a question and answer. This wasnt even planned! The questions seem fine to me, and like I said the devs will give us some information. So everyone calm down!! If your going to post that you dont like the questions, please say why you dont. We dont want to see "This questions are bad" these type of post will be deleted. Darth_Torpid-PG
Hey, no fair adding sub-questions to the questions I'll get to these asap - hopefully by Friday as I said in a previous post. Unfortunately I just got a ton of new project work put on my desk (not that I'm complaining - new project = good), so it will likely be late Friday. Also, a special thanks to popcorn2008 for compiling and sending these to me!
