Det. Bart Lasiter Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Quite funny, however God lives in Crawford, Texas, USA, he's staying at Bush's 'ranch' for the winter
spaceholder999 Posted January 25, 2006 Author Posted January 25, 2006 Thanks fot the comments! The next one is really bad photographed (I have no scanner!):

Sabretooth Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Those're real good. I can draw only stick figures... barely.
Commander Obi-Wan Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 lol...those are rather funny. Nice work....
REDJOHNNYMIKE Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Good job, seriously, those are newspaper quality, you should check out a local paper. I'm curious, what are the original captions, or do you always edit them in?
spaceholder999 Posted January 25, 2006 Author Posted January 25, 2006 Well. The captions are the same but in Swedish, don't think many people here understand... Newspaper Quality? LoL... I'm just 14, that's a big thing to do when you're young... Here's the original image:

Though I think a more accurate translation to english, if I understand the meaning if it, would be "Thou shalt not smoke!" rather than just "Don't smoke!". Fun either way though.
spaceholder999 Posted January 27, 2006 Author Posted January 27, 2006 This next one, I did for practice my drawing skills. It's no fun about it.
REDJOHNNYMIKE Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 It's never to early to rake in some cash, I started getting a legit paycheck around then;) If you worked a little more on backgrounds it would give it a more professional quality. Unless the papers in your area are saturated with comics it wouldn't hurt to submit one to them and see what they think, who knows maybe you'll be the biggest thing to hit Swedish comics in years:lol: Do most of your drawings follow particular characters, stories, or political themes? If you have a good solid recognizable formula it would increase your chances of being proffessionally successfull. And Most Importantly...Do you do any Star Wars? Your stuff is sharp, but I'm not sure how harsh the moderators will be on something that isn't SW fanart:)
spaceholder999 Posted January 27, 2006 Author Posted January 27, 2006 I'll maybe contact the local paper some time... But I don't know. Why do I not pay attention to backgrounds? 'Cause I dosn't really think it's nescessery to some images. But sometimes they are.
REDJOHNNYMIKE Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 The backgrounds was just a suggestion, there are plenty of good comics that have minimal or no background, but it can still be useful.
spaceholder999 Posted January 27, 2006 Author Posted January 27, 2006 You gave me something to think about. Maybe I shall do more backgrounds, but then some of the simplennes disapear... And I want it simple!
REDJOHNNYMIKE Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 The simplicity does look good, it was only meant as something to consider. Glad to help any way I can:)
