Jeremia Skywalk
I just beated kotor1 with blasters only, i am quite exited, it was harder, than doing it with lightsaber, mostly beacause of all the dark jedi, who can deflect your bolts with their saber, altho it was easier than i suspected. I got the idea, while playing battlefront2 at my friend's and killed darth vader with Han Solo, So i thought "Hack i should do this in kotor", and so i did. Any other people have any alternative ways to beat the game? Post them right here!

Any other people have any alternative ways to beat the game? Post them right here! Did you do this with blasters only or blasters and force powers? What classes did you play and what sort of stats did you take? Also LS or DS? I am currently playing a DS Consular/Sith Lord that uses only hand to hand (unarmed) and force powers so far he is level 15 consular and is ready to level up but I can't seem to get Kreia to give my prestige class choices - I wonder if its becuase I have only been to Nar Shadaa so far... ChAiNz.2da
^^^^^ You have to be at least 75% LS or DS.. if that doesn't work, I've had to go ahead and "level up" then when I talked to her right after, she offered me a Prestige Class.. Save your game before experimenting however
Jeremia Skywalk
I was fully dark side, i realy usually play game light sided, i didn't use any force (exept drain on malak's halfdead jedi and heal AFTER fights, so all the fighting was with blasters. I was sentinel making me even more useless ( come on poison resistance is just...) Final stats with no modifiers but with equipent was 12(no im not stupid, its revans robe)/24/14/12or14/8/12. Lantzen
Go throgh the game solo with stealth. I havent try but im thinking about it.
Jeremia Skywalk
Yes i thought about doing it too, but the problem is, that if u play kotor1 you couldn't get lvl 20, thus couldn't kill malak, besides it will be hell long, so i think doing it on kotor2 when i get it (i once had, but i lost the cd, now my friend is thinking of buying it, than i can borrow it from him and beat game that way.) Any other ideas?
Lantzen
Go throgh the game with minimum lvl up, gonna be hard to kill Malak. Finish the game as fast as possiple. Dont kill anyone Run from all fights( just kidding), but i did it in Fallout2, just killed last boss and maybe 3 roadscorpions.
The Doctor
^ I've finished the game in four hours. I had to have cheats and mods installed to do it, but I di it. Master Speed the whole way through the game, skip through all the dialogue, ignore side quests, etc.

Point Man
I've thought about trying to go through just using force powers, but I figured I would drain my force points and then be a sitting duck. I also thought about trying it with just melee weapons, no lightsabers. That could be a challenge, especially if I only use an unmodified sword. Jeremia Skywalk
Yes i think i could do that as well, nice ideas, for kotor2 i thought about no weapon fighting way. It would be way more than possible, but still fun, beacause no weapon fighting seems to be the most developed in tsl.
wanderon
Indeed as my TSL DS H2H/force only consular keeps advancing it seems that sticking to H2H for his only weapon is not really that much of a challenge but I'm pretty sure he could not survive without using offensive force powers along with it. Jeremia Skywalk
I disagree. If he/she would use force deflect (the one who allows you to deflect bolts without lightsaber) and would have good amount of strenght, than you could make him/her quite strong even as guardian/weponmaster, beacause H2H is actualy better, for a jedi, than any other weapon except lightsaber. wanderon
Well I can tell you that when I tried just using H2H melee against the Laigreks in the Enclave thinkiing they would be a breeze that they kicked my butt when there were several at once altho I suppose a guardian/wm would have a better BAB. My consular has good str (20 with items right now). I think the Ubese would have been a problem without softening them up with force powers too. Even my guardian/wm using two lightsabers depended on force powers on Malachor V tho so I still say using H2H without any offensive force powers is not likely to get you through. You are correct that the H2H is more potent (now that I have reached higher levels and got several unarmed spec feats) than "normal" melee weapons and its almost as potent as an unimproved lightsaber in fact. However no matter what weapon you use I think it would be very difficult to succeed in TSL without force powers.

The Distorted
It's not too extremely different, but on Kotor 2, I made a DS male Guardian/Sith Marauder, and used Vibroblades (with all the upgrades). I obviously used the hand-blaster-redirect force feat, melee weapon mastery feat, and I used the uber-two weapon fighting feat too (the final level, sixth). I used a Sith Tremor Sword right-hand, and Echani Vibrosword left-hand. Stats were - Sith Tremor Sword: 8-42 damage, +3 sonic, 17-20(x2) critical, attack modifier +3, defense -1 Echani Vibrosword: 8-42 damage, +2 cold, 17-20(x2) critical. He's extremely powerful too - adding a lightsaber would just be insane anyway, trust me. I can (over)kill Traya with two Power(mastered) attacks. Needless to say, he was (and still is) my favourite character Definately the most fun to use. Edit: I had previously forgotten about another game I had played on Kotor 2, where I tried to remain as "grey/neutral" as possible all the way through, consequently, Visas didn't join my team until VERY late (only a short while before the battle on Ravager), cos even though I didn't go lightside or darkside enough for her cutscene to play through that means, I guess there was a failsafe in place, in case (someone like me heheheh ) had decide to play an extremely grey game. I also (and I couldn't have done anything about it anyway) did not achieve a prestige class, and actually finished the game as a level 27 Guardian. I also tried to be a minimalist in terms of my team's character roster, and thus for example, didn't rebuild HK-47. Because I didn't kill any of the Jedi masters as well (it was too extreme of a darkside points-wise act to do) I got the default LS ending too. It was funny in that I gained alot of influence with my team-mates, and they were all just as non-chalant/commital as I was. Just standing there, going meh, meh, meh, meh, meh... lol
PazaakPrincess
This is an older thread but I thought this belonged here instead of a new one... Now that I am strong enough and on my way to Jedi Weapon's master I've doned the dancer outfit and attempting to win with this as my only armor Hot females in space with a lightsaber, kick @scii every time. Reclaimer
Go throgh the game solo with stealth. I havent try but im thinking about it. I've done this, but it was challenging. My Stealth at the end of the game was about 43. I was a level 15 Jedi Sentinel/ level 27 Jedi Watchman. My Persuade was like 13 and awareness was like 21. Force Persuade came in handy. Lantzen
In Kotor1 that should be hard, but for Kotor2 i dont think its a problem

Jeremia Skywalk
Not "alot" I think it makes H2H stronger than one handed, not exelently, but nicely upgraded lightsaber. that does not make much sense though, if opponent is human you can kinda smash his vital points and such, but comman, smashing droid for that damage is ridiculous.
