Jae Onasi
Roses are red, Violets are blue, I'm writing this poem, Because the Rice Krispies told me to You know, there are professionals available for that kind of thing.... Doris, could we get a nice special white jacket for Mr. Hallucination, please? I think we should offer him that little room with all the comfy padding. JediMaster12
@ Cygnus: No need to beg though I kind of like the idea. In your case, you're kind of like the little lost puppy dog By request, here is another: Swiftly, swiftly through the breeze The wind whistling through the trees Something coming from afar And not from the local bar Whispers of heightened joy The maidens act all coy A secret they long to share At the heart it would tear Holding the box aloft with smiles Laughing when we miss by miles Cry out in anger friends KOTOR III they need to send Thank you, thank you
Jae Onasi
You know, I suspect a thread on poetry should be added to the Fanfic forum.

Jae Onasi
^ That's what I get for being lazy and not doing a thread search. A Haiku: Sword flashes at night, Dancing in the hands of an Echani master.
JediMaster12
Ah...an ancient form of expression that is like music to my ears. Jae you have touched me for I enjoy Japanese Haiku Here is another. It is my sig at SuprObscura. Calm the mind must be Your soul shall be set free Inner soul full of peace Body feel at ease Different at first glance Together in a world of balance
Cygnus Q'ol
^Such an elegant yet, thought provoking form of expression. Although this form is Japanese in nature and stems form feudal Japanese culture, I would like to western-ize one for you. Uh, let's see, here goes... Cold rain stings No UPS truck in sight Eyes blurred in pain Hard breaths of anticipation KotOR III becons me Very difficult when on the spot, but at least the format is intact. @Jae, thanks for the paradigm shift. Your knowledge has no limits. @JediMaster12, While living in this visually demanding world of TV, video games, computers and so forth, it's refeshing to downshift the mind and read the written word. With the eloquent art that flows from your keyboard, I don't find it embarrassing at all to beg. So without further adieu: Please, Please, can you find it in your heart (or your hardrive) to paint me some more. I promise this will be the last time I soil my knees. JediMaster12
@ Cygnus: Maybe soil your digital knees? This one was inspired by a comment I made in the UR forum for a thread topic. A bit philosophical in nature but hey, it's what I do when I'm not doodling on scraps of paper or sitting through a lecture. Truth, merely a label That it speaks of fable A thought of what is seen Gone in silver sheen Truth is a lie Yet the child does not cry Perception forms a base Easily shattered like a vase
Jae Onasi
@Jae, thanks for the paradigm shift. Your knowledge has no limits. That's what I get for being an knowledge/school junkie. Oh yeah, there's definitely a limit. If it was unlimited, I would have figured out how to mod something better than those dumb red shoes Exile wears at the beginning of the game. I was going to do a limerick, but when I told JimboFett I was thinking about doing that, he whipped that one up in about 5 minutes (he's the poet in the family), so I had to come up with something a bit different. Jae Onasi
Jimbo and Jae poet duel?????????? please Yeah, we're weird. We got introduced to each other by a mutual friend who knew we both liked puns. Jimbo wins the poetry wars, though. He's the romantic. Edit: [Lightside points earned. Wife points gained. ]

JediMaster12
We can see who has the strong points. Here is another one, a bit more erotic but still warrior-esque Dance of Death Your breath warms my cheek And away flies the meek You touch me and make me wild Away into days of the child Your words caress my ears Giving beauty in years We dance in heated moment The poses in perfect bent A dance of heated passion That brings the silent assassin We touch and miss But never meet with death's kiss
Cygnus Q'ol
Darn that jedi! He thwarted me He's stunning and bright, wouldn't you agree? He seems to move so effortlessly Does his foes seem slow, or is it just me? His sizzling blue saber wafts to and fro If a limb sticks out, then it must go ...if he hollers, let him go eenie, meenie, miney, moe I never should have gotten into this mess I should have worn armor instead of this dress Never insult a jedi's mother. I guess That's why I'm lying here with a burnt hole in my chest
