Dark_lord_Cheez
Atton in the initial opening sequence - you can see the screen, it also proves the use of "wanna" It seems like the words "want to" fit better in my opinion after hearing that clip, but oh well it is your mod. (not like we can't just make that one little edit ourselves after this mod is released anyway )
Archon II
It seems like the words "want to" fit better in my opinion after hearing that clip, but oh well it is your mod. (not like we can't just make that one little edit ourselves after this mod is released anyway ) Well, if you can find a line where Atton says "want to" that has the same exact tone, speed, and other whatnot as that sentence, and furthermore, be implimented without it sounding "spliced", please inform us, and we'll get to it. Dark_lord_Cheez
sorry, I meant just going in and typing "want to" in the sentence. Seeing as the term "wanna" is just a written way of expressing how fast some people say "want to" I don't see what would be holding you back from just writing the words "want to" into the dialogue. I'm sorry if my post originally came off as rude, not my intention. But from I have gathered from doing work on dialogue files, you could have atton say "We've hit the ground this is korriban", and then write in his dialogue box "I like cheese danishes", and it would work in the game. (again, sorry if this comes off as rude, I'm just trying to give an example of what is possible here) So my point is, unless for some reason the dialogue box is locked (which could be fixed by just creating a new one and then replacing the old one with it), all someone would have to do is highlight the word "wanna" and change it to "want to" if they want a grammatically correct sentence. Jackel
Just one thing about this one. It seems to me when I read it that the last part of the line "... on the planet's surface" isn't really needed. Kind of saying "It is nine am. In the morning" The first part (in this instance"other jedi here") would show you mean the planets surface. Im no english major or anything just thought I'd throw my opinion out there for you.
Pavlos
@Dark_lord_Cheez: Point taken, I'll fix that next time I go back to editing that scene. @Jackel: Hmm... no, I think the line works as it is. I don't think your citation is a particularly valid one in this case. The scene takes place on the Hawk while it is still in hyperspace and this means that it would not make any sense to just say "here," it needs qualification. "Here" would imply on the Ebon Hawk, or in space.
Arátoeldar
Looks sweet Pavlos. How large will the restoration content be?
Pavlos
Looks sweet Pavlos. How large will the restoration content be? Depends what you mean. If you mean "How much gameplay will it add" I can't say. No one has played the mod right the way through yet - and not everything is in it yet. We're hoping for the planet to be pretty interesting and packed full of sidequests. If you are talking about the actual file size... I don't know that either. As it stands we have about 70mb on our CVS - which is increasing all the time, and that is only with the low resolution movies (i.e. the same resolution as the pre-patch movies), so the mod is going to be quite big unpackaged. I won't be able to give you accurate download sizes until I start compiling everything into the installer I built. We plan to be releasing two versions of the mod (Because of the movies and sound files it is going to be absolutely huge) one with just the bare essentials and the other with all the bells and whistles - movies and so forth. That is, unless the entire community has broadband now .
Mario1
Will we have to start a new game?
Pavlos
The changes I have made thus far to 003EBO have been done in such a way that they can be plonked in the override - mainly for compatability reasons. So, just make sure you haven't visited Korriban yet and you should be fine.
Pavlos
I posted this stuff at Team Gizka so I thought I may as well update this thread too and get some feedback (And plus: it is just shameless plugging ): You can't get a sense of the cinematics from the pictures quite simply because all the cameras in it are animated. The scene is essentially unfinished (A lot of the visual effects have yet to be implemented) but I thought this was an opportunity for a shameless plug as well as a bit of education in the realms of cut content. Oh and damn it! I just reinstalled K2 so Nihilus no longer does all of his explosion effects . I obviously didn't commit the finished .2da to CVS . So there is only one explosion effect in the images. I'll try and get it sorted for you.

wildstarsreach
I have a question. Is there any updates on the M-74 restoration project since it has been 3 months since the last one. I'm anticipating this module since it looks from the previews really good. Please update as to status. Wildstarsreach
Pavlos
Well... umm. What do you want me to say? Progress is... happening as progress happens. I'm not keeping any dire secrets from anyone . This is done in my, and the others', spare time and as such, it takes a while. Tell you what. I'll give you a work in progress .bik. The sound is pretty much done but we're still messing with the visuals, getting different visual effects to work. Take a look here. The link may not be stable, we shall see. I'll throw in some quotes too: Player: Atton, if you don't shut up I'll lock you in a room full of Jedi Masters. B-XR1: But you are not a droid, human. I hate to disappoint you. Journal Entry: The docking administrator on M4-78, B-XR1, informed you of some recent visitors to M4-78. While he could not go into specifics, he informed you that they were responsible for the current situation on the planet. Unfortunately, the other zones on the planet are flooded with radiation. Perhaps a droid could help in the matter... Journal Entry: You have sent HK-47 into the M4-78 facility to aid in your search for Master Vash. If he doesn't kill everything in sight, he should be able to find and shut down the radiation leak Really... there has been no interesting progress since I posted the pictures of Nihilus vs. Sion. I'm currently planning out Vash vs. Sion, but there are no screen shots yet. Edit: Apologies for the site the file is on.
Emperor Devon
I have a question. Is there any updates on the M-74 restoration project since it has been 3 months since the last one. I'm anticipating this module since it looks from the previews really good. Please update as to status. Wildstarsreach Although progress is being made, I don't think a lot of the things we're working on at the moment would interest people. Here is a sample of what I do: B-XR1: But you are not a droid, human. I hate to dissapoint you It's 'disappoint', Pavlos.
Pavlos
Gah! Damn typing errors! Damn them to the depths of hell! I constantly make them when I don't mean to... bah! Edit: Although, all it means is that I'm no better than one of the BioWare or Obsidian developers at writing dialogues - so many mistakes.
90SK
Thanks for the updates, Pavlos. If it's alright, though, I'd like to make a suggestion for the B-XR1 Journal Entry. Perhaps it would be more fluid if you switched the second use of "M4-78" with "the planet", and changed the second "informed you of" to "mentioned" (eliminate redundancy) so it would read: Journal Entry: The docking administrator on M4-78, B-XR1, informed you of some recent visitors to the planet. While he could not go into specifics, he mentioned that they were responsible for the current situation on M4-78. Unfortunately, the other zones on the planet are flooded with radiation. Perhaps a droid could help in the matter... Just my 2 cents, which you are by no means obligated to take. Everything else looks spiffy.
Pavlos
I'm always open to constructive criticism, and in this case I can see you are right . Writing for an RPG is an entirely new format for me. I'm used to putting the reader in the position of an onlooker, as you do in novels and plays... allowing the player to interact with the writing and writing second person journal entries is something I am unused to. But hopefully, the difference between my writing and Obsidian's isn't that noticeable.

Jediphile
Cool. It's nice to see the site up again. I would be lying if I didn't admit that I was beginning to worry if you guys had lost your nerve. I'm glad to see you haven't. Keep up the good work. I eagerly await what you guys come up with, and I doubt I'm the only one.
Q
Thank you so much for the update, Pavlos! Good to see that this project is still alive. I think that this is just as important as what T-G is doing because the game still wouldn't complete without it, even with the addition of TSLRP. I'm sure that I'm not alone when I say that I'm very interested in both projects, and have been eagerly keeping an eye on their progress. I don't post about them often because I don't want to seem like a whiny pest, constantly demanding an update every week like I've observed others doing. I have a feeling that many others, like myself, have taken the "wait patiently in silence" approach because, like me, they don't want to pester you or T-G. That being said, I'm moist with anticipation while I patiently await the release of both of these mods. I doubt that interest in these projects has declined. Mine certainly hasn't. Many laurels, plaudits, and flowers to you all for doing this for all of us!
