Wrong section jedi_exile. This should be in Ahto. Anyway, I own KOTOR, TSL, JK, JA and many other games. JK is harder than JK, but on JA, you can create your own person. I would reccomend you get JK first, so you get the story on JA.

one thing that would really intrest me is great online play with interaction between players. do Jk or Ja have a good role playing online experience or is it just action?

Edit: and if i happen to chose Jk which one is better for me? the first or outcast?

I've never played Online. Anyway don't double post. Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight is the before Outcast, but has worst graphics. Jedi Outcast has a good storyline, but not as good as Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight. Jedi Academy is set after Jedi Outcast, but it doesn't have a good storyline as much as the other two. It is good to play Jedi Academy if you're bored.

The Series:

Dark Forces (PC/PSX): I've never completed this, but this is the first game where Kyle Katarn joins the Rebel Alliance and aids them in getting the Death Star plans. This has the worst graphics.

Dark Forces 2/Jedi Knight (PC): A lot better than Dark Forces, this is the first game where Kyle becomes a Jedi. Graphics are a lot better, but not as good as JO and JA. To me, this has the best Storyline out of the lot. And the most levels. Also has the option to be Light or Dark and select your Force Powers.

Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast (PC/Xbox/Gamecube): This has improved Lightsaber fights and much better graphics and also a good Storyline. This is set nine years after Kyle stopped being a Jedi.

Jedi Academy (PC/Xbox/Gamecube): You play Jaden Korr, Kyle's apprentice. This has the best Lightsaber fights, however the storyline is lacking. Also has the option to be Light or Dark and select your Force Powers.

ok so JA has the best custmization out of all and i can chose what Jaden looks like. IT is also best for playing anytime, even when your board. i guess this is the one i will get then, thx

JA has a great online RPing community, definitely buy that if you want good online gaming

Thus the problem with the community. If your hoping for a little FPS action look elsewhere. By all means buy it if you don't mind the admin using server side hacks... excuse me admin mods, slapping you, freezing you, standing around chatting, half of the game disabled; force powers & weapons, following a perverted sence of "Jedi Honorz" with constantly changing rules, & the whiniest damn community on the face of the net.

@ Pottsie; You forgot Mysteries of the Sith.

I think Outcast is the best of the Jedi Knight games. Though seriously, if you want Star Wars games, you should really think about buying Force Commander. :p

Personally Dark Forces 2 was the best, Outcast had the lamest story ever. There was just no point to it, some dinosaur goes after the valley of the jedi, it's such a predictable plot that you could see it coming a mile off. I also don't like how it was done, they tried to show way too much off with the engine by putting too many references from the films and they ruined Nar Shaddaa. For some reason, it did'nt look half as grimey and bustly as Dark Forces 2 and for a game more advanced than DF2 in every department, Nar Shaddaa was incredibly linear.
