Cause they're robots in disguise. When they landed on earth in the Ark, they didn't look like earth vehicles, but when they awoke, they scanned and then took various vehicle forms to blend in.

They're highly advanced aliens who are mechanical instead of organic... when they came to Earth they reconfigured their vehicle forms to look those found on Earth... not that hard to understand XD

They were created by a race known as the Quintessons.

 

How the f*** do they reproduce?

IIRC a new body is infused with something called a "spark". Can't remember the details.

After watching the trailer I went out and tried to buy the First season on DVD but I couldnt find it. It looks like it's going to be a good movie. I just hope they don't mess it up.

Well I watched it and didn't think it'd be terrible. It was just made to get people aware of a movie coming the following year. I liked the end with the transforming logo tho.

 

I think it'll be an entertaining movie nonetheless.

I've always loved the Transformers. I was too young to actually watch the Original series but I still played with the toys. Did anyone everwatch Beast Wars? I loved watching that show. Isn't Michael Bay also directing? I like his films so I know it's in good hands.

He's good at filming action sequences with big explosions, so Transformers seems like a good fit for him.

Pfft. I think his movie face looks fine. Without the battle plate it looks a bit wierd, but still fine to me. When he has it on it's pretty close and looks really good too.

I'm not a hardcore purest and expect everything to be the same, but surely it would help the cause to base the designs on the familiar characters. I mean, they went out of their way to get Peter Cullen to return as the voice because fans demaded it, so why do they then go and design a completely new body?

That show was the **** when I was in elementary school. I really wish I could find the episodes for download because the dvds are freakin expensive, and I barely have money for lunch ><
