What you couldn't do in KotOR...

I think there is a way to be able to record and synthise a voice to have it sound like yours, but maybe it's too much to ask. The benefits would've been great however: the Exile's confrontation with Revan could have been so much more.
Do you know where I can find a computer science article or paper about it?

They'd better bring back the previous game's characters while they're at it.

Now we're all really wishing aren't we. But anyway, i was thinking about another thing of Kotor that i really would change and that is the ending. I mean its kinda lame, we just standing there with pretty bad music in the background. It needed to be way more inspiring in my opinion. Think about the altered version of ROTJ it was awesome, and this story was just about as epic. Definately need a better ending

No no no i think you misunderstand me. The ending was great, really lived up to the the epicness of the game. Duelling with Bastila, turning her back to the light side (LSM) then confronting you former friend and apprentice, brilliant. What i'm talking about is the movie bit after that, when we're being awarded that medal on the unknown world, i thought that was a bit of a let down. I wanted something more epic, i mean the we've just defeated the sith, Malek has fallen and at the time everyone across the galaxy would have been celebrating peace. Instead all we see is us standing there in front of a tiny little crowd waving

Aha. Since you put it that way one ending could have been something that led a little into the events of TSL. One great scene I evision would be Revan returning and confronting the Jedi Masters, where the player can take them to task on fighting the Mandalorians or make peace, or turn them to how they are in Sith Lords if DS.

Yes now you're talking, an extra scene back on Corusant, in the senate, or on the steps of the jedi council in front of a crowd or even in the jedi council chambers. It would be us ( Revan) returning as a hero, or villain depending on how the galaxy sees us, to face the council and the senate. Or even as simple as a reception to the people, or meeting up with friends that we've made over the game. Something comparing to the end of ROTJ, i mean we have just won the republic a war that was raging across the galxy. Most likely millions are dead. Something inspiring or that makes you finish the game on a great note.

I like the idea of separate dialogue send off with each player. As suggested.

The voice thing depends on how they do it. In games like Baldur's gate you can choose the kind o voice you want your character to sound like so thats an idea, because you could choose a crazy sounding voice if you intend to be dark side or heroic voice if you want to go lightside. But i definitely don't want to hear the character speak if they sound stupid or annoying.

We would've missed that killer scene in TSL if that happened.

The fact there's a few voice actors from Metal Gear made me think of this. In one scene in Metal Gear Naomi says to put the rumble pad against your arm, do so and she heals you, the player. It would've been neat if there was a scene where Bastila did that. Could've been a nod to the Metal Gear games as well.

Still I guess that would've been a bit hard on PC.

You know, with the Mission side-quest, if you go to the Sandpeople enclave without her, you can kill Griff. When you go to talk to her after you kill Griff (if you choose to kill him) all she says (by memory) is "Talk! What is there to talk about! Those sandpeople took my brother. We can't just leave him with those...with those monsters!"

I never got to say something like....

"Mission, your brother is dead. I killed him. Don't like it? Deal with it. If you're going to make an issue out of it, then you will answer to my lightsaber! Capish? You can either rack off, stay with me and keep your mouth shut for the rest of the journey or try and attack me, fail and die. So what's it going to be?"

or

"(Lie) Your brother is dead Mission. I found his body in the sandpeople enclave. They must have killed him."

But instead, I didn't even get to reply to Mission and tell her that her brother is dead, that I killed him. The side-quest remains incomplete if you kill Griff. It always bugged me how I couldn't tell Mission that her brother was killed be me. Why couldn't I? I killed Griff in my first play-through of KotOR and I was expecting a dialogue choice to come up for me, to tell Mission that her brother is dead, and tell her that I killed her or lie to her about how he died, but it never came up.

As great a game it was there was the odd time that I wish I could've done something.

Such as after leaving Taris, when I was playing DS, I wanted to go to the Academy on Korriban instead of being trained on Dantootine. Just so I could be a Sith sooner. I figured it'd be an interesting approach, triumph at becoming a Sith in full then seeking out the remaining Star Maps so you can topple Malak.

And on Tatoointe when I take HK back to the droid shop, I was kind of annoyed that you couldn't get HK to break the neck of the Ithorian who sold him to you. Even if he says he'd do it on his master's command.

Also, there were odd times when I wished you could've played the entire game as a soldier, or usually in my case a bounty hunter. So saying the Jedi training on Dantooine is optional and can gain other abilities to compensate for late of Force powers. On some play throughs the Jedi training was just a drag on for me.

Something I wish you could do is agree to join Bastila at the temple, then when you're about to fight yell APRIL FOOLS and punch her so hard she throws up. That's what I'd do every single time if it was possible.

Also there should have been a scene where Revan was tortured for information. It would have been neat to have Carth or Bastila struggling not to give the information Saul wanted.

Yeah, that bugged me too. It was also annoying that the game didn't have an alternate npc if you decided to kill juhani at the beginning. It might have had to be one of the sith/students (yuthura, mekel, etc..) or another one you meet on one of the planets. These games are supposed to be, in part, about OPTIONS. lazy/inefficient devs........

BTW, Ben, somone did come up with a mod to kill yuka laka, though not necessarily by breaking his neck.

Personally I didn't like that you couldn't kill more Jedi, especially if you want to walk the dark path. Killing the Jedi on the Star Forge would have been a bonus. Adding more Jedi to kill in the Star Forge while walking the dark side would have been awesome.

Always wanted, after being rudely kicked by a boss the first time, to try at the second time to say "Hey, don't harm me, see, I'm all your, make whatever you want of me but pleeeeease don't harm me. Perhaps I could lick your boots ? Wow you seem sooo powerful, I never meant to fight you, you know !", just to laugh a bit and to see the PC being beheaded while begging like a little girl.

I have been many times tempted to sell Juhani, like some said. This Xor isn't that unpleasant after all, is he ?

One thing I wanted to do is throw some of my enemies off a ledge, like off the landing platform on Nar Shada, in TSL.

Or, walking into a cantina and whip ass, when some one talk wrong to me.

Also in TSL , It would had been good if I could date all the females on my ship.

And I would have to explain to one of them if one of them was getting jealous or suspicious.

No Mira romance! Waaaaaah!

For the next game they better make it a bit like Bloodrayne where you could Force throw your opponents like rag dolls, like Rayne harpoons and throws about her enemies. That or the new next gen Star Wars game that have the Jedi kicking Stormtrooper ass and taking no prisoners.
