Though the only people who will have any idea about what I'm talking about are Dani and KingCheese... I'm still going to post them, or I'll go insane. 1) Both games deal with the human mind and how delicate and strange it is. 2) The player is warped between realities at parts real world to mental world/for world to nightmare world 3) In PN and SH4 the main antagonist has a younger, kinder and slightly slow younger alter ego which you must aid. 4) Many of the characters in either games have psychic abilities (even pyramid head, who did a crazy pyschonaut type thing after he was done with the maniquins) 5) The main character befriends an older person who's guarded and provides comidy relief. (Heather and Douglas, Raz and well... Sasha) 6) Sasha's memory vaults seem like a combonation of Harry Masons life, and James Sunderlands. In short, Sasha is what Heather would have turned out like if James had found her instead of Harry. (and jst play SH2 and look back at the memory vaults... It's like deysa'bvu) 7) Not only do Sasha and Vincent look alike, but their also facinated by alternate worldsand monsters that try to kill you. 8) The simalarities between Claudia Wolf and Crispin Whythead are uncanny. They both have British accents, really light blue eyes, simellar haircuts and the same innitals. 9) Both games have bunnies 10) Said bunnies seem to love creeping you out 11) Heather and Lili are both daddies girls who hide their soft core behind a hard layer of sarcasim and attitude. 12) In PN and SH3 the main characters father gives them something which they use to end the game. (Heather, the pendant/Raz, his dads power stuffs) 13) Leonard and evil Raz's dad are both dogmatic psychos who love screaming about how great they are, and how horrible every one else is, including their own children. 14) Most of the bad guys had lousy childhoods (Oliander, Claudia, Walter...) 15) There is a fanatic paranoid who loves to babble (Boyde/Jasper Gein) 16) Raz is afraid of water/Heathers afraid of fire (I find that irronic) Please, don't flame me or anything, and go out anf by Silent hill. Any of them, but SH1 will definitly be the most expensive of them... But if you have played any of the SH games, please share you're observations. Silent Hill is awsome though...and so is Psychonauts...but I think you left out a few things that are worth mentioning. 1. Theres an insane asylum in both Silent Hill and Psychonauts. I'm not entirely clear as to whether the one in Silent Hill is always an insane asylum...or if it just an insane asylum when you fall into the alternate darker reality...but it's definately an insane asylum part of the time. 2. There are probably some vague comparisons to be made between the fate of Silent Hill and the fate of Shaky Claim. 3. Claudia's intentions can be compared to Oleaders in the sense that she tried to lure Heather to Silent Hill so she could have the god in her womb, and Oleander tried to lure Raz down to Thorny Towers so he could have his brain. I thought of Ford Cruller more as the comedy relief; use your psy powers on him and he has witty insults regardless of form (ranger, agent, etc). 16. stewlil Posted September 6, 2007 Share Posted September 6, 2007 Not to mention in silent hill 3 there is some navigating in the dark (its the only one ive played) And in Psychonauts, you have to navigate through that basement in the dark. Lil Kis Posted January 2, 2008 Share Posted January 2, 2008 Well just have to say Psychonauts story and characters are much worse than the Silent Hill 2 and series....Silent Hill series is unmatched storywise than any other videogame story.... If you have to pick Psychonauts or Silent Hill series or Silent Hill 2 which is the best in the series go for the SIlent Hill series cuz it's story and characters are so focused on and is better than any other videogame....
