ExiledFish Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Spo has anyone watched this really cool anime. Started watching it online and so far at episode 10 I love it. Any other fans of the Stand Alone Complex?
CSI Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 I have all of them...Movie, Innocence, SAC 1, SAC 2...They are all great...Motoko Kusanagi is a little too sexy, and can't blame her--robots doesn't know about sex, do they? And Batu is cool, too...
ExiledFish Posted May 9, 2007 Author Posted May 9, 2007 Yay... no spoiling it for me im only on SAC 1
CSI Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 ^Next time try SAC 2, and movies...They're good. And if possible, go get a Motoko Kusanagi hand-made model, you'll like it.
Det. Bart Lasiter Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 First movie was good, second movie + series sucked.
Sabretooth Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Yeah, the first movie is one of the best sci-fi movies of our times. A million and fifty ****ing times better than the Matrix. I'm gonna catch Innonence when it airs on Animax next week and then maybe the SACs.

Jeff Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 I haven't seen the movies but I enjoyed all the series a lot.
ExiledFish Posted May 11, 2007 Author Posted May 11, 2007 Im trying to find out about the modifications available to cyborgs for a mod im doing for TSL
xmovingpicturesx Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 Movie 1 I liked, movie 2 I loathed. Both series are good, the Laughing Man arc is perhaps the best anime story I've ever watched. Series 2 got a little too political for me, but it was still a good watch. Haven't had a chance to see SSS yet, waiting for that one on the SciFi channel. From what I hear it's the best story yet. Can't wait.
Mace MacLeod Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 My daughter's right into it. Not sure which ones she's got, but I know she has at least 7 or 8 hours' worth of the stuff buried somewhere in her dvd collection. Anything involving pointy-chinned, saucer-eyed anime characters emitting shrill giggles while blowing up futuristic robots is generally a winner in her book.

Giant robots beating the **** out of furries is where it's at now.
Det. Bart Lasiter Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann. There's only 8 episodes out so far (out of, I believe, 26). Check AnimeSuki, etc.
