RoxStar
Apparently Microsoft and Bungie have decided to part ways, but microsoft is waiting until the financial third quarter is over before they will announce it officially. The rumors are very strong and apparently come within Bungie itself. I personally think that this will benefit Bungie greatly because they could still create new content for Halo 3 (as well as maintain both of their Xbox live outings) and still focus on new, original ideas for games. Sounds like it might be time for a hybrid of the old (pre halo) and new Bungies! Or it could be a huge blown up rumor, whatev. EDIT: It's True! http://www.bungie.net/News/content.aspx?type=topnews&cid=12834 http://blog.seattlepi.nwsource.com/digitaljoystick/archives/122799.asp http://xbox360.gamespy.com/xbox-360/halo-3/824452p1.html
MrWally
Maybe we'd see further games from the Halo universe on other consoles. Halo Wii, anyone?
Char Ell
That would be interesting to see. If true I wonder how this would impact Microsoft's bottom line. I mean, Microsoft owns Bungie right now so they have to record some dollar value figure to account for the divesture of a MS asset. Meh, whatever. I'll wait and see if this turns out to be true or not but it's no big deal to me since I'm not a Halo player.
RoxStar
Supposedly, Microsoft will keep the rights to Halo, or something.
MrWally
Supposedly, Microsoft will keep the rights to Halo, or something. Nooooooo... Why would Bungie agree to that?
Samuel Dravis
Because there is absolutely no way that Microsoft would let them have such profitable gaming IP and let them leave.
MTV2
imagine if Halo 1,2 and 3 came to PS3, that would be crazy. no point to get a 360 anymore

ZBomber
I'm sure I said something that topped it, but the excessive amount of drugs I've put into myself lately has affected my memory.
TiE23
PS3s don't break spontaneously. Yeah, but 360's get cool assed flames flying out the back. PS3s have that? I think not!
Crow_Nest
imo i wouldnt care less if they are really separating. All that matters is that i have my Halos 1 - 3.
Kjølen
So they have been released from the clutches of Microsoft. What a wonderful accomplishment. To hold that much respect over Microsoft, that is. There is always the possibility that Microsoft thinks Bungie is useless now that the Halo trilogy is over, anyway. They'll be in for a rude awakening when Bungie creates their next big hit.
