So who would you have for the protagonist? A rookie Kushan pilot out to prove himself? An aged, but still tough Frigate Captain out for revenge against the Taiidan?
Couldn't be a rookie, because obviously this guy is supposed to have been picked to lead the fleet... and he couldn't be too old, because they didn't know how long the journey would take. Probably a middle-aged admiral or something. I don't really care if he was male or female, either (Kushan society was enlightened about these things, wasn't it?), as long as they did it well. Regardless, he would definitely have a revenge motive. :D

Uh...Ave Maria has been part of the Hitman games...Have you played the Hitman games? Ave Maria is straight in the intro of Hitman:Blood Money. I forgot if it was in previous games, but it's very relevant that they used it.

I do realize that there are...weird oddities that don't seem to fit the 47 character, too many explosions and too much dual wielding guns. I'm just hoping it turns out good, never said it will.

Oh yeah, I have. But I forgot there was this music on it. Anyway, trying to subvert 47. He looks more like a 00 spy (Bond) rather than an assassin.

Also, to the Prince of Perisa movie, I am now beginning prayers to condemn it to Dev Hell.

Actually, the critics have a good feeling about this one...

Karan S'jet leads the Mothership Fleet, Dravis.
Well, if you'd enjoy a movie about someone plugged into a bunch of tubes that suck her brains out, then ok. I tend to favor something more adapted to the silver screen, however - they hardly have to follow the story exactly to get the feel of the game down. Perhaps S'jet doesn't need to be plugged in to command, or perhaps someone else commands. Who cares that much, as long as it was done well? As long as it's not another Uwe Boll catastrophe, I wouldn't be complaining. :)

No one's said anything about a Warcraft movie? That's one I've got my hopes set on. They're even making one already.

The Prince of Persia movie could be really cool - the page on IMDB says that Jordan Mechner, the original designer of Prince of Persia and the writer of Sands of Time, is co-writing it. It also says something about "spin-off," though.

I've also got high hopes for the Halo movie. I mean hey, it's Peter Jackson we're talking about here!

When it comes to video game-based movies, I think there's potential there, especially as games have increasingly deeper stories, but it just hasn't been done right yet. But that doesn't mean it won't ever. So I think maybe at least one of these movies will make it big. :D

Also, Final Fantasy X almost was a movie to start with....

I wonder how they'd be able to make Tetris into a movie.

Here's

Need for Speed as a movie based on a game based on a movie? Fast and the Furious already did it, but sadly any film based on something we play is always messed up. And I think part of the problem lies in trying to tell a diffirent or new story rather than copy the games. Though they made good films based on Tom Clancy's novels and a Rainbow Six film would be good. They already changed details from book to game. Command & Conquer Generals plays the war on Iraq\terror cards to the hilt so maybe that would still be popular as celluoid as well. But given the anime angst the games use Japan could roll out an Ace Combat film that plays on the Demons of Razgriz taking over the bodies of the fighter pilots when they are hurt or angry.

John Woo said he was gonna be making [a Metroid movie] now, but we haven't heard anything since.

John Woo backed out of the project and it is now suspended--again--to the point where IMDB no longer even has a listing for it. (I think I was actually more relieved than disappointed when I heard this myself.) Part of me would love to see a Metroid movie, and there's certainly enough backstory now for a decent project...but I have my doubts.

A Legend of Zelda movie would certainly clean the taste of that demoralizingly awful cartoon out of my mouth, so I think someone should get on that post-haste. I'd also say that the Mario franchise needs a [better? non-failing? not starring Capatin Lou Albano?] movie, but there have been so many ****ty Mario adaptations that I don't think they need to mine that cesspool anymore. (Adventures Of Super Mario Bros. 3, anyone?)

^^ :haw:

Anybody gonna see the Iron Man movie coming out May 2nd of the next year? I guess film directors are desperate for new material and are willing to use any story now, I hope they don't screw this one up, Iron Man is one cool character in my books. Also I heard about a sequel to both Hulk and Punisher movies, a prequel for the X-men trilogy and a possible THOR movie, any thoughts?

^ Though that completely changes the subject (games adaptations to comics adaptations), I'm willing to watch the Iron Man movie. If it turns out all right, it may be as good as the Spider Man movies. His stories are particularly inspired, IMO.

Hulk movie, I probalby will, but since I didn't liked the first one... And I didn't even watched The Punisher first movie yet :p. Enough of X-Men and I'm not a fan of Thor. It'll depend on the critics score, I guess.
