DarthJebus05 Posted March 14, 2008 Share Posted March 14, 2008 Team Hutt has taken over Team Jawa's role in the KotOR 1 Restoration Project, as Team Jawa is, sadly, dead. Team Hutt has so far made great progress on the planet Sleheyron. In secrecy, some of the team members, including me, have finished and started work on more restorations. So it comes with great pleasure, to announce that Team Hutt has transformed into a complete restoration team for KotOR. Now, we wont be restoring some of the cut content, as it will break the game. But it will only be about 2-3 pieces of content. We are currently using proboards for our forums, but will soon be upgraded to a xxx.kotorfiles.com site. F.A.Q. Q: Will this have any effect on Sleheyron's progress? A: No it wont, as the rest of the team are currently waiting on Sith Specter to finish the modelling/module. Some of the team have also started making the dialogs and utc's for the first module, ready for when SS is finished. Q: What wont you be restoring? A: The droid teleporter on Taris, the side quest for a clone army (was an idea, not a piece of content). Q: When will Team Hutt be done? A: My pleasure to say: It will be done when it's done. Q: Will Team Hutt keep us up to date on proceedings? A: We will post weekly, or monthly reports to keep the community notified on our progress. Q: Can I join the team? A: Currently there is 1 or 2 spaces open, depending on how well of a modder you are. Might sound a bit low, but we don't want people with limited or no modding experience. Q: Whats your website/forums? Hold on, let me get his post... - Dan Loto (I believe) has restored the transition droid. I heard that it works okay, but by transitioning some "things" are not triggered (I don't know which specifically). Again I don't want to belittle what DL did (quite the opposite), but as a restoration interferes with the usual gameplay I can't see the benefit. (Admittedly I did not download the mod and can say nothing firsthand). If you can get it to trigger everything, then sure, we can integrate the mod. That would make sence, really. He can get all the credit. I don't mind to step down. And you should not forget the restored Black Vulkar Base and some other bits and pieces... You should find the link for download here: http://team-jawa.kotor2files.com/ I did not investigate into it very much, but I assume we could recreate the .mod files as I did Shuma the Hutt. Why use the names of Aayla Secura and Master Vos for those Jedi? Imo, Quinlan Voss and Aayla Secura don't belong in a game 3000 years before their birth... Actually as Sekura and Vos don't look like those two decendants, it might be better to change their names two (also the appearance of Sekura as Mission is not a good choice). But i notice when i watched thourgh the video that it seemed to be at multiple places when you only had one option you could answer. This is pretty much mod alert in my book since in the normal game you usaly have more options, but all can still lead to the same place And i agree on that the Mission skin is not a good choice. It wasn't written by modders. The only thing that wont be a pure restoration will be the Shadowlands, as it would be completely useless to have an empty module.
