Astrotoy7
Well technically, this is not a backup. It's an image. hehe....you IT guys.... always averse to putting things in lay-mans terms Our network admin at work 'resigned' yesterday... he had the exact same problem. Trying to explain things to team of 300 health professionals in jargon no one could understand(well I could, but thats beside the point). I was always having to be the intermediary in integrating stuff, which sucked because I wasn't getting paid for it! Now our CEO has asked me to sit on the interview team for the next person, fancy that, lil ole me I hope some babes show up for the interview, but I'm not counting on it OT: Safe Surfing: For those that may be in the situation of getting a new pc/lappie soon from a retail bunch...dont let those vulture salesmen/women try push "windows live one care" on you (MS all in one supprt, AV/Malware subscription) Last year, WLOC was identified as the *only* one of 17 tested AV programs that actually failed to identify certain key threats.... clickity Its simply not worth when something like avast etc can do the job just as well/better, and for FREE mtfbwya
Sabretooth
Ah, Astro. Always getting all riled up when it comes to Internet Security. Making sure that the kids don't do it without protection or expensive protection!
Hawkstrong16
You want to avoid problems? Stop going to porn sites! Lets not do anything hasty here. RedHawk is right. That really f**ked my brothers computer up, and he made me fix it! But back on topic I use TrendMicro PC-cillin Internet security. And so far so good(although that could be because I don't do what my brother dose)

The Doctor
Ooh. Now I use Safari, instead of Mozzila. Sexy hawt. Haven't encountered any kind of malware with it yet - though I haven't done a scan since I installed it three days ago.
Astrotoy7
Ah, Astro. Always getting all riled up ..... There's only one thing that really riles me up!! Its when they put anchovies on my pizza by mistake! wars have been started over much less in these Code Red situations, my cat, Astro Jr mounts a salvage operation to help me deal with any and all unauthorised anchovies that may have made it onto my pizza mtfbwya
mur'phon
I do most of my surfing on my school laptop, which means sucky protection that I can't remove/change/replace. Now this wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have a small bother, common sence and all that. Unfourtantely, my bother is in the "hey something is alive betwen my legs" age, so I'm stuck with a comp with every virus/malware/etc imaginable

deathdisco
I wouldn't be too complacent with a router firewall, however. Someone hacked the password on my router and was using it until I got a little help booting the leech. You need to check it periodically to make sure no one's 'sharing the wealth'. Disable "Wireless SSID Broadcast" on your wireless router. It might not be foolproof but the average leech won't see your connection when they're browsing for routers.
