Don't be too optimistic. I spoke to Pap-pap on Tuesday, and she seemed to be purposefully evading the topic of teh Spanish DoOdZ. <_<

 

She'll be back in a few days. ;)

 

Hahaha... well I propose we kidnap her back. XD Well we better not let this get off topic.

 

Anyway, can't wait to see what new ideas Paper has when she gets back.

Not that I can report ^.^ I'm doing little bits and pieces. Working on the minigame. Sith has kindly modelled something important for me.

 

I might be releasing a demo in the near future. There is one existing, and I've had it tested. But there are quite a lot of bugs in it. Some of them plain hilarious. But all the same, they have to go ^.^

 

All I can say is thanks for your patience and watch this space!

Hehe, don't get too excited! The 'demo' that was tested was only a small bit of the mod (well, relatively small, it's over an hour long I think), and it revealed a lot of problems. The main being that on different people's machines, scripted effects seem to land at slightly different times.

 

I know I've been quiet, but I won't vanish, don't worry ;) It's just that during the sunny months I never seem to sit still long enough to get anything done. So it's mostly tweeks and debugging. I'm currently working on the minigame I mentioned in the thread. It is very difficult to create a new game ^.^;; Whoo, the bugs! The crashes! It's mayhem I tell ya!

Me :xp: Paper has been very busy lately, as she was considering moving and changing jobs in real life; which obvious takes a lot of time and is a lot more important than KotOR modding. She also tends to mod in 'spurts' i.e. a time of intense activity, then followed by a period of little activity. As far as I know she is still working on the mod, but its coming when its done. :carms:

 

Unless you want this thread to get locked, I suggest no-one but Paper posts from this point on; if you want to ask her about the mod, follow Prime's suggestion and PM her.

Hello lovely people!

 

The PaperShip has returned! Gosh has it been half a year already? Indeed I have been rather busy! Moving, job change, much travelling, dating, writing, studying, helping family with bazaar business ventures... It’s been a mad time :)

 

To those who had been eagerly awaiting this mod, I do apologise for vanishing. I regret to inform you that this mod has been...

 

Revived!

 

I’ve spent the last few days going through all my old folders (soooo much stuff, no wonder I burnt out). Now what I’m doing is going through the first 2 hours of game play, removing bugs and filling in the gaps I was too lazy to do before – which is really helping me to remember what I was doing last year, and also reminding me HOW to mod (seriously, I’ve forgotten!)

 

I’m also going to rein in my excessive ideas a bit (not too much, don’t worry), so I don’t overwhelm myself with extra work this time.

 

Anyway. Game on :)

Thank you for the warm welcome all! On with the juicy modderness!

 

I have decided to cut Vjun from this mod, in favour of focussing on the juicy bits. I'll keep the reskinned planet for future projects. If anyone would like to use these jazzed up modules for anything, you are welcome to them :)(see page 3) pm me.

 

The swoop destruction derby is staying! It'll take forever to programme, but there's no way I'm dropping this crash-crazy insanity (PC crash that is). Escpecially after all the modelling work Lovely Sithspec did for me.

 

I have almost done with all my sound splicing frenzy (thank heavens). Made a 202 line dialogue last night (40 of which are Carth) and my brain is fried. Did I say I was going to take it easy? Ahem.

 

Finally, any mean people among you (lol?) who don't like Carth will be pleased to hear that being nice to him is now completely optional! The dialog has expanded so that you may be verbally abusive and quarrel, should you wish.

 

Anyway. So lovely to see all these old faces still here. You guys rock. Oh how I have missed you!

Wow! I never saw this thread before (before I first visited Holowan), but looks incredible! Afraid I'm not much of a modder, and even less reliable, or I would offer help. Still if there's anything I can do...

 

Anyhow, looks great! This will be quite a nice little prezzie for us fem Revan players (but do you need to romance Carth to access this mod?). Keep up the great work!

Starting conditions;

Leviathan cleared,

Korriban cleared,

Female PC (naturally having followed the relationship plot).

Indeed, you will have had to have followed the romance to trigger this story expansion. But if you have not, not to worry. A generic save file will be supplied with the mod so you can load right up. Alternatively, you can just adjust an existing FemPC save file so that the GlobalNumber "K_SWG_CARTH" is "14".

 

But lets leave that until the mod is done hmm :thmbup1:

 

Progress-wise. Very good.

I'm working on some quest content right now, to intermingle with the comedy, cut scenes and strange minigame-madness which seem to dominate the mod. See...err... I've been so occupied with the 'strange' stuff that I forgot to add something 'normal'.

 

I've also creted a new area for Korriban, which will be the first main quest hub (hence the above mention of quests). There's still something weird happening with the floor... but nothing I can't fix with a hammer ^.^

 

Oh! And I made a load screen, since the default one is a bit fugly;

It looks like Carth gets hold in a sort of strangling position there!

Ah yes. That is from one of the scenes in the mod. I cropped it in so it didn't give away too much info. There's loads of animation in this mod. You'll see, when it's done :p
